Engrave It any advice on what to equipment to buy getting started? Long story short I’m a biker and tattoo artist but was in an accident last year and severely injured my right arm. It doesn’t bend good enough to tattoo anymore and I think engraving is my best bet to keep the creativity going. Thanks for the reply
@engraveit58114 жыл бұрын
Dave Sleyer I would GRS tools is the ticket. Now is it the arm you would wright with?
@davesleyer93934 жыл бұрын
Engrave It yeah it’s my writing arm I can still tattoo and even work out with it. The problem is it locks up when I’m tattooing and I can’t reach back and forth from my canvas to my ink cups. It sucks for me but it’s worse for my canvas because I’m slow as hell now. I just got my tax return and I’m planning on getting a vice and an engraver ASAP!

Engrave It Just for interest sake. How expensive is it to have say similar covers engraved. It is such bad ass custom look. Seems quite popular in the US. Not that common in Europe.

chris gerber prices vary they start at around $250.00 US and up. If you’d like you can email for exact price sales@engraveitinc.com

Awesome:) I’ve always loved seeing engravings on motorcycles. I finally had the courage to paint my bike and it came out great. Next I wanna take a shot at engraving my rocker boxes, derby cover etc. How much money should I expect to throw down to buy everything I’d need? I have a compressor already but what’s a good direction to go for an entry level setup?? Thank you! Happy holidays from Maui.

hi. how come the cutting tool only cuts the surface and not deeper..is it the angle you use.. or does the tool only cut a certain depth.. please excuse my ignorance..p.s. great video such an inspiration to budding followers. .many thanks from the uk..cheers best regards
@engraveit58114 жыл бұрын
colin jeffrey don’t think the video shows how deep this is compared to a typical metal engraving done for car and motorcycle. This is deep engraving without having to remove all the back ground. We triple chrome parts after we done with a good amount of copper and nickel, chrome and it does not cover the engraving.

@@engraveit5811 thanks for the reply . That's makes sense .. I'm starting my own journey with this..beginning level but I'm starting to understand. Every piece is different angles, levels, shapes... regardless of size .. sometimes smaller pieces have to be a little more creative.. big piece's it's all about filling space and patterns. I got the tools and I'm down to put in hours of cutting.. but I suck at drawing no patience.. I try and freehand everything it looks OK but to me deep inside it sucks lol.. that sharpie set up you have would definitely help me . Thanks for this video very useful information.. I know some don't like to show their set ups and techniques but trust me you can show every one everything.. but unless they put those hours and hours .. and hours of practice. RESPECT ✊ . Definitely an art.
@azarelthecreator709811 ай бұрын
@@iLLnATioN702 You will learn that the smaller you go the more time it takes because you have to work slower and with a lot more can and planning to ensure you dont mess up the piece. When it comes to stuff like this its kind of like tattooing. There are times when smaller tattoos take more work than it would if it were larger.
