Never knew anything about him until my coworker (that now I’m close buddies with) showed me him. Since then have I’ve seen Wayne Hancock and Dale Watson live recently. My buddies have seen Hank 3 but I haven’t. We’re waiting to go but we know he’s dealing with addiction, but once he’s out touring I can’t wait to see him. Best wishes towards your addiction Hank and getting yourself better, can’t wait to see you in person!

Darcy Collins.. If you search Jr performing during his teen yrs on KZfaq you will see he looks nothing like his daddy. He looks more like his mama Audrey. But Hank III is the spitting image of Hank Sr and even has the same nasal twang. It's almost eerie.

I read so many of these comments. First and foremost, if you never listened to the 1st Hank Williams…. The man who represents one of the first rebel icons to perform country music ever, then save your negative comments. A true musician is one who studies and continues to learn from all the prior talent, and shows appreciation and respect to all genre’s. The first Hank had the sound the corporate recording companies were searching for…. Along with a shaky bad boy image at times. His sound laid a path for the future of many country artists. His Grandson does sound just like him and what a great tribute. It may not be the sound some like any more as music progresses with each generation…..but you can’t ever say Hank III is not talented. I’ve met him, hung out with him when he was on the road in Binghamton NY. I handed him my guitar and he played it with his band. Hank III does not only sing country. He can switch really swiftly into his inner self and belt some rock n roll without a twang. Nicest guy ever and truly humbled.

i was in a christmass tree store chain looking through the outdated cd section and came across a CD named 3HANKS i scooped that up soo fast and it is AWSOME THEY DUBBED Grandpas voice in and there it is all 3 HANKS I LEAVE IT IN MY CONSOLE WHEN xm radio gets old and pop that in and you got it

Jr. dealt with many of the same expectations and issues as Hank III, and he raised some hell in his early days but by all accounts went clean in the late 80s and he's a pretty big Christian and Republican these days. Hank III's got a lot more punk in him and is not a Christian or politically active. He's a lot more into the roots of outlaw country, i.e - drinking, drugs and carrying on, none of which Jr. has a lot of respect for these days.

I also don't think Hank Jr. likes punk very much, and punk is a major part of Hank III's influence and sound. At his shows he usually does a pure country set, a hellbilly set, and then a punk/metal set. I understand they still talk and stuff, and they probably aren't enemies or anything, but they just don't have a ton in common beyond their outlaw roots.
