I love how he gets so emotional about sharing Harry Potter with Luke

As the parent of a child who has just started reading the Harry Potter books (she's nine), I can tell you that your heart will soar when they start talking about it and reading it, and when they tell you about their favorite characters, and share those feelings you felt the first time *you* read the books. There is *no* equal to the pride and joy that you'll feel when your child goes on the same journey you once took into a world that changed your life. Loved this vlog. Of course I cried. Props to Beth for being Super-Mom and letting you have this experience.

You should write a message to Luke to include in the book. If you don't want to write directly in the book, write it on a paper and stick it in the book, but if you write it on the front cover he can never lose it and he'll have your message in you're first book to him 💛❤

As soon as I saw that book, I started crying. I knew it was for Luke. You’re such a great dad, J, and this honestly makes me super excited for the future when I have kids and get to share what’s been a gigantic part of my life with them. We love you like crazy.

I sound crazy but this vlog was one of the most emotional experiences I’ve had all year (I mean the year just started, but still.) I lived in London for a few months when I studied abroad and it kills me how much I miss it. I went to every hp location ben and J went to and more (except for the HP exhibit at the British Library because it wasn’t there) and getting to see it all again... dead. I’m also so grateful they showed us some of the exhibit in the vlog because I was so jealous that other people got to see it. So I was super emotional, and then J got emotional at the end.... ugh I’m just a mess. Thanks J

This is soooo beautiful and why you and Ben are my absolute Favs. You are an inspiration for me. To go after my dreams and try to do what I love for a living. To not just settle for something. And to help me get through the rough time I had this past half year. When I see the joy in your and Ben's eyes in each and every video, I sit there and think to myself: "I want this. This look on my face when I do my job." And when I feel that little sting of envy I remember that you worked hard for it and that I'll need to do the same, but it also gives me the heart, courage and strength to try and work for my dreams. So thank you for everything, J and Ben. And also Beth, for being ok to share your lives with us a bit. It gives me hope and the will to find the happy way through life. I really liked the bit where you were talking about the lighting situation in the hotel and the "just two guys in a LIFT" part and the Seamus cameo and the history of magic exhibit looks really cool especially the cauldron. But the best bit was you talking about Luke and reading the Philosopher's Stone to him. You made me cry. You are both great parents and you are taking care of each other (which is really important) as well as Luke. Love you all and Love all your channels x

My son had a pretty rough go of entering the world, a lot like your son Luke. If you EVER need somebody to tall to, I'd love to listen. I'm not a KZfaq creator, but I can't tell you how much your videos helped me get through hospital stays during my pregnancy, labor, and an emergency C-Section for my little man. Seeing what a great father you are (and what a great mommy Beth is) is so refreshing and inspiring! My husband and I are very proud Potterheads (a Hufflepuff and Gryffindor, respectively.) But we love all things Disney, Star Wars, Potter, Pixar, name it! Thank you both endlessly for making videos. You seriously make hard days so much easier. (Also, my little.boy had to do breathing treatments and LOVES watching your videos while hooked to his nebulizer. Haha.)

I think its so awesome you wanted to inaugurate Luke's (eventual) first time reading HP with that edition. He's going to appreciate it so much! I was totally extra & had bought all 4 house editions if the Philosopher's Stone (even though im a Hufflepuff) lol! Im a collector 😊 I think its so cool you had an opportunity to visit the History of Magic exhibit in London & work on a project for it. Im from NYC & the History of Magic exhibit is coming here i think in October this year so I cannot wait for it. Looking forward to the next vlog!!

I'm not crying, you're crying. My son is your age and my daughter was a teacher when the books came out. She found out about the books and my son and I read them together sitting in my bed. Sharing this world with your son when it was such a big part of your life will be so special, Jonathan. I love seeing how emotional you are about it. My youngest grandchild (girl, age 10) just started reading the first book and we were talking about it at Christmas. It was so much fun seeing it through a child's eyes again. I'm so jealous that you guys got to do these tours. My son, his son (boy, age 14) and I were supposed to go to Disney World and Universal last summer, but COVID ruined our plans. We were so excited about the trip and so devastated when we had to cancel. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter was so high up on the things we wanted to do. I tried so hard to find a copy of Philosopher's Stone, but it seems that I can buy it here in the US. If you know of a way I can get a copy please let me know! I want all of the British books as I have all of the American books and would love to see the differences.

When he started crying while talking about sharing the Harry potter world with his son, it made me start to cry! My boys will be 15 & 17 this year and I still tear up from when they were born. You are already a great dad- it only gets better from here (until they start to talk back to you lol )!!!

When I explain my love for Harry Potter to my boyfriend (who unfortunately wasn't able to grow up alongside Harry Potter himself), I always get THIS emotional about it. There's just something (magically) amazing for those of us who grew up with this series, and I am so happy to have gotten the chance. Watching this vlog made me so so so happy! Thanks for sharing the experience with us!
