Completely agree. He’s not trying, or acting up for the camera - you just get genuine enthusiasm and an eagerness to share the experience.

His enthusiasm is what draws us all to his channel. He’s down to earth, never vulgar about his wealth and really is “Just a bloke who loves things with engines”. For the more mature enthusiast.

@@teabagtowers3823 But then the driver might find something they dislike after 1000 miles, or things they actually really like. Versus, press car on this route in whatever conditions that day, journalist or KZfaqr finds things they don't like right away and things they might like if they had more time. Yeah, doesn't really make much sense. Harry probably helps out with his "dislikes" when he can actually experience the car for a longer period of time and different situations.

​@@jone8626 Then by that logic Harry should be banned from reviewing BMW’s as he has been pretty critical of their looks especially the likes of the M2/M3/IX. Same with Range Rovers as he said the recent Range Rover hybrid was basically too heavy and struggled down a bumpy road. Oh and you going to mention what he said about the Ferrari 296 in this video? Yet he'll still receive cars from all of those manufacturers in the future. It's always amusing when you clueless armchair numpties believe this conspiracy theory narrative that car reviewers never say anything negative. That and that you get blacklisted for being negative for one most cars these days tend not to have major issues minor niggles yes. That and it would also reflect pretty poorly on manufacturers if they just blacklisted anyone and everyone whenever they criticised their cars as there would be nobody left to review their cars. As someone who has driven most McLaren extensively I can say they’re all different and 720 is a masterpiece. Yet to try 750. Compared to the competition, McLaren have achieved remarkable results in a very short time. They deserve more recognition and success

I think it helps so much that it's a tasteful spec. A beautiful subdued color plus wheels that accent the car without trying too hard. Hopefully silver/gray wheels become more common on sports cars again.

I don't necessarily disagree with you but why do people so often have to put others down while giving someone a compliment? It seems it wouldn't be too difficult to avoid that. Also, saying "you're much better than those idiots" is pretty shit as far as compliments go.

@@marcushogan6613 Sure, but I think the views and latest and greatest go a bit hand in hand. The automotive youtube crowd is on the younger side and they don't really want long term car reviews or engine rebuilds, and because most youtubers rely on views and sponsors to make a living they tend to do what's most popular. Harry on the other hand can nerd out on exactly what he wants no matter if he gets 1k or 1mil views per video. And if we're really honest Harry is as much of a supercar influencer as everyone else, these roadtrips always makes me want to sell a few organs so I can buy a Countach and go down to the south of France too. =)

Yeah 720 is very tractable and highly refined at slow speeds. The breadth of its qualities is staggering compared to most of its peers. Not tried 750 as yet but I’m guessing it’s not bad either!

I’m also a great fan of Antibes. We’ve walked past Harry’s boat a few times without realising. I’ve just checked backed through last year’s photos and it’s included in one of them.

I live just round the corner from John Welch's place in Church Crookham. I remember him repairing one of my crash damaged cars about 35 years ago, when he was driving those rallycross cars. I couldn't believe him when he told me how fast they accelerated - faster than an f1 car at the time I think?

Very different cars. I'm a Ferrari guy and have driven the 296, but Harry is correct. The 296 is annoyingly busy and feels loose, especially without the AF pack.
