The serious takeaway is that Harvard admissions people read it, discussed it, and took the time to tell her why she was rejected in consideration of her time spent on her application to be admitted, plus maybe $75 fee, unless she was MAGA and doesn’t pay taxes or anything else.

I'd start a rejection letter with something more along the lines of "You seem to believe you're even close to worthy of our standards. You're... not. Consider your life for yourself, and if you need details as to the "what" and "why" we shredded your admission papers, rather than contacting us again, we suggest reaching out to professional help."

I actually, applaud her "avant garde" approach to her application. It shows individualism and charactor to make her stand out from the thousands of stuffed shirts, upturned noses, and gilded upbringing that I'm sure is required but not mentioned. If admitted, I believed they wonderd how to explain this unique standout student amongst the other homogenous looking and behaving classmates. Alas, a missed opportunity. .........Best wishes Molly, you will be successful in life and better off for it. Frame that baby!

@Rick Donaldson, it's their loss buddy. I'm not even American but I'm sure they are getting overloaded with rich kids whose parents have money to launder and pay hefty tuitions fees. The same is happening with the top business school in my country (Italy). Only foreigners and naive people get sucked in (as they are oblivious of how the university really is). Locals don't even want to apply to go there.

Knowing how a admission counselor listened to her mixtape and they took time to write the letter instead of sending their general rejection letter. I’d imagine Harvard had some thought of accepting her, especially knowing she has the Scores to get in, and the fact Harvard once accepted someone who talked about their “love for ice cream”

I love how Ms. Mcgaan is implied to be very smart that she actually met Harvard ACT scores and GPA requirements but either so ignorant or more rather she didn’t care, that she gave them a hipped essay, her mixtape, and a signed copy of Grownups two. I 100% believe that she did this intentionally.

@dontavious996 Because more people apply and frankly colleges are distend to handle a certain NUMBER of students rather than a PERCENTAGE of applicants. If a university has 2000 applicants and a 50% acceptance rate and the next year they have 25% acceptance rate and 4000 applicants, that doesn’t mean they are increasing their minimum entry level but rather there are more applicants and there isn’t infinite spots.
