Just to put everything into perspective: 1) They early-picked Blade, even though he does nothing special with their first 2 picks (Pela & Sparkle). 2) They then picked Yukong, even though they were not going to run dual dmg dealers. 3) The worst thing is that due to the horrendous speed tuning, that Yukong was not even buffing a single dmg dealer. Her buff was mostly spent on Lynx & Sparkle's turns. Their choices for pick&ban was just ?????

I main Blade since day one. Iyo's takes on characters are so bad because he genuinely can't play the characters properly and he always tries to have bs takes. Since day one I've been mainly focusing on units to pull that will synergise well with Blade. Bronya Ruan Mei Lynx is my team for Blade and he does exceptionally well in every content. Without his supports he's just a tanky sub dps but with his supports he is top tier. My Blade has 7.6k HP with 80% C. Rate and 212% Crit dmg. So obviously if i like a character I'll do everything in my power to make that character a top tier dps. Blade hasn't fallen off. Build him properly like a dps and get good relics. Get the optimal supports and have fun.

I never said my stats will be relatable.I did mention in my comment that I'll do everything in my power to make my favourite character a top tier dps. To the average playerbase he is mid but the Blade mains generally won't be running a suboptimal or just a "decent" build for him. And by that logic every unit is mid. You gotta build your characters and the supports to see if they actually mid or not. @@treasure9342

Gacha/Iyo draft r pretty dogshit compared to god/moon the 1st pick pela was pretty bad locking in a decent unit but not denying anything from the opponent meanwhile the other team locked in black swan and dhil denying 2 great units idk y they picked blade so early thats kinda dented team 2 then picked bronya luocha 1 great supp and luocha is a great sustain thats sp positive for dhil ok unless bro doesnt hav the fu xuan i legit dont understand the lynx pick

Fu Xuan would probably only be a marginal increase seen as he already overcapped Crit. I'm not sure if the Max HP buff from Lynx or Fu Xuan is better. Taunt while unreliable probably helped give Iyo 1 more FUA.

@@magmaspacer196720:12 ah yes, buffing lynx with Yukongs ult. Truly a play of all time. DDD had almost no value until the very end. Yukongs skill buff was wasted 90% of the time due to the awful speed tuning. Also, JY wouldve been a much much better unit to be used as the dps here than Blade. Bro even had sparkle for JY too lol. If blud dosnt know how to use the characters properly, blud shouldnt act like a all knowing being.

If you actually watch his videos you would actually hear him ask questions when he doesn’t know things, joke around, and say when he was in an unfortunate situation or doesn’t get something. Does Yukong ultimate only buff the character going right after? Also it seems like he wanted the dance dance dance to push Sparkle who would have pushed Blade but it wasn’t enough to get them within the cycle.

Tournament was fun and I get that there is no point system in the tournament so ur allowed to bring any unit u want above e2 so Doggo and Moon won. But if they don't some kind of restrictions on investments this will just turn a ''BETTER ACCOUNT'' tournament. Also these guys are all guidemakers even if their takes are bad or so whatever. The side who invested more will win %90 of the time.

I get playing like an underdog but you can make another account for that (smack does have an F2P account). But if you are a guidemaker or theory crafter you should atleast have all characters, their LC and some notable eidolons to properly judge a character and give advice about them.

I absolutely disagree on the Luocha's bashing... until we get Aventurine, he's the premier anti Sam sustain, as he covers Imaginary weakness and can cleanse on good timers. Especially in a PvP format, we ain't gonna 0 cycle (gl with TY +RM banned lol) I don't get why is this slander existing, why could Yukong provide better than Luocha in this format, especially when you look they picked Kafka + Blade... Like, even if they get Huohuo, OK, they might OK for 1st half, but 2nd half is just joever for Iyo/Smack as of 4th pick

@@michaelfrost3357 adding to this, Luocha heals an absurd amount at base level so he still heals a good chunk to survive despite the nerf Sam puts onto healers, coming clutch and compensating him. His overheals turned into a legit advantage in this scenario.

@@MefoWho I literally cleared Sam with Luocha in my DHIL team multiple times last cycle. Mine does emergency heals of about 3.6k and against Sam they're for about 1.1k hp, and during the field time I think they're about 800 hp per hit, and each hit per character starts to add up to get up the hp of the team fast enough. Now if your characters are fragile then I can see it being an issue but mine are tanky enough and the clears are comfortable with him. I find myself struggling more with Fuxuan vs Sam.

I think Iyo just didn't build his Blade nor the Blade team THAT well at all. Blade is good, but how Iyo tried to use him was ngl...embarassing. No offense to Iyo but I felt that his Blade & team for Blade were not optimally set up, built, and used.

imo blade is a comfort character, deals decent damage and near impossible to get him to die Edit: gonna state this before someone comes and misinterprets my comments, blade does good dmg but his competition does better dmg, I use blade, made my Aventurine fight less stressful (I did not have huohuo, fu xuan or luocha when I was at that part of the story so my sustainability was lacking to say the least)

Iyo proving once again that he’s just a casual pretending to be a guide maker. Bro just keeps pretending that he knows what’s up and is really confident in spitting nonsense all the time. That Yukong run was honestly impressive in the wrong way. He managed to speedtune her in a way where she never buffs anyone. All of her buffs in the entire run was used on Sparkle skill and Lynx skill. Perhaps the “game is evolving and we have to build teams differently” and that’s why he doesn’t know how to play anything currently in the game. He’s preparing for the evolved version. Derp.

I think people should go watch a video a youtuber called Natsan has made,it talks about how to buff Blade.Personally I think Blade and IL are made to be polar opposites in which Blade does less damage but less sp is consumed while IL does more damage in exchange for more Sp.But they buffed IL by giving him a support that fixes his sp greediness .In my opinion(and natsan) they should make a support who capitalizes on Blade's Sp friendliness who buffs more based on the sp they have consumed also they can buff him through healers like a 5 star Lynx.(Remember Blade is the Xiao of Hsr they can choose to make him better)

Not helping that there's nobody that can truly synergize with his HP scaling as of now. The best we can do is to give him Crit/Dmg% boost or have Res Pen to enhance his damage 😞

Nah Blade just needs a buffer that can make use of HP consumption mechanics. I wont be surprised if they add one soon since a certain unit is likely to have just the same mechanic as well. Once that happens, I can see him easily jumping to S tier like JY

@@treasure9342 But she isnt really a buffing unit. Also, Blade is expected to run with a Bronya so the 2 turn taunt and HP bonus is gone in an instant. But that is one example of how he could improve

From the way the picks went, I'm about 80% sure Iyo meant to use the team of Blade/Bronya/Sparkle. However, right after he picked Blade, the enemy team picked Bronya. This would be a slight misplay, as Iyo probably should have picked Bronya before Blade, but in this scenario, he just had to make-do with what he had left.

Blade never fell off because he was never high enough to fall in the first place. Blade has since release just been an independent sub DPS with very little support synergy -- no HP scaling buffs. He has never been meta because teams with sub DPS have never been meta outside of DoT teams. The highest he's ever been in the meta was when Jingliu was peak, because of the life tapping synergy. Now he can be used with the Hanabi + Bronya core, but so ca other hypercarries like Jingliu, and they can do it better than him, because again, zero HP scaling buffs.

nah, when he released, he was S+ together with seele. it's just that he's only there because the only competitor that has released in that time is midyuan and seele. and JY hasn't gotten any buff whatsoever, like fx, or 4pc grand duke. so he's below blade. unfortunately that honeymoon phase only last for 1 patch, as 1.3 drops IL and he destroyed the tier list, bumping down everyone by a tier. the rest is history.

Like obviously he isn’t as strong as other units but he does fulfils many things and can fit in most situations as an all rounder. His hp scaling is 110% and atk is 44% at max talent lvl. No hate to you btw, just tryna understand where you’re coming from and to clear up somethings.

He tecninqually has attack scaling.........but it's just apart of the damage, the total amount of dog the attack Stat does is 5% while the hp is the other 95%

@@Gottaloveaxolotls He fits many roles but he fits none of them the best. Running blade hyper carry is inferior to other (limited) hyper carries even if the other are against a resistant enemy. Blade dual DPS is inferior to just making the combo hyper carry. Blade can't sustain because as we all know aggro is a joke. So he's a jack of many traits but definitely master of none. That just doesn't work well for HSR. He can still clear, so if you like him it's fine he can be used, but for the sweaty min/maxers he's useless

Eh nah, he's always been a "solid" dps, but he has the skill point flexibality being -1 every 4 turns which ia great for a dps unit, also has the tankyness factor which is honestly GREAT in all content cause the trash enemies in moC 4 o 5 shot units, and the big guys 2 3 shot u units......and it works great in sim uni cause all the damage the enemy's can do alot of damage, and in pure fiction the tabkyness is great cause u ain't running a sustain beside like Aventurine mabe My opinion he is a FOREVER A teir char
