Okay now you have me super excited and I can't wait for tomorrow's video I'm gutted I couldn't watch your aquarium box unboxing video but watching this has happily made up for it ...... The process your doing is something I did similar with my sterbai corydoras eggs except I didn't use the peroxide and the two glass jar method your using but now I've watched it and I've learnt something new I'm going to breed my sterbais again ... I used to lose all my eggs because of the fungus and couldn't help but get it so I quit breeding them but now I know I can save them and that's down to you and your videos thank you so much 👏👏👏👏 I can't wait to see these hatch now it's exciting indeed 🤘👏🤗

+PsychedelicBabe Thank so much PB! I am very happy i put out some info that can be applied. the jars where the biggest difference for me. the flow down seems to even slow the fund eggs. pretty sweet!

Nice set up. very different technique. thanks for sharing. I use methylene blue and place the air stone with very low air flowing over the eggs. The methylene helps prevent fungus and the air gently going over the eggs simulates the parents fanning the eggs. I like the idea of using H²O² and chlorinated water keven though the chlorine dissipates fairly quickly in an open container, especially with circulation. Nicely done! love it!

Thank you. I just always had hp on hand and saw my original Philipinne blue breeder use this method. Methylene blue is great!

So i Purchase those breeding pair of silver angels yesterday from the guy i was telling you about, can't wait to start breeding them. But i have a question. The question is that they're still stress and won't come out from the breeding slate when i'm around, they're in a bare bottom tank, 55 gallons. Any tips on getting them to come out especially when i try to feed them. My other angels greet me as a welcoming every time, lol. Thanks in advance. Keep up with the great Videos.

Thanks man. Just gave it a thumbs up and comment. Let me add to what I said over there. While hiding is pretty common for them in a new home. Watch them closely because hiding can also be a sign of internal parasites, worms, and wasting. If they begin to look skinny and underfed, check out Angels plus. They have awesome medicated flake food for a super good price. Their anti protozoan(parasite) flake has worked very well for me. Check their meds out and read up on it. You will eventually run into an issue that's needs meds.

+Mike's Fish Room I'll keep a close eye on them, though they're pretty thick and large. And they came out a little today... until i make a sudden movement.

+johnathan ramirez Cool! Sounds like they are just getting use to you. Can wait to see there spawn. You know how to speed up the process?
@CloroxBleachJohnathanRamirez8 жыл бұрын
Mike's Fish Room No, Not really. Is there even tricks to speed up the process, i heard they spawn every 7-10 days.
@MikesFishRoom18 жыл бұрын
+johnathan ramirez All of mine spawn within 2 -3 days from each other exactly 7-10 days apart. What you want is for the female to produce eggs. The male will be ready when she is. Give them some cold water changes. Not more than a 2 degree drop and speed up feedings. If you can feed at least 3 times a day do it. I know that can be hard if your not home. And last... Give them some frozen food. Brine shrimp or blood worms work well. Just be patient. My zebra pair took a couple of weeks to settle and lay after bringing them home.

my angels laid eggs on an anubius, I don't want to kill the plant but I do want to pull the eggs, preferably without cutting the anubius. Any harm in getting the eggs off of the plant with the turkey baster sooner than Day 3??
@MikesFishRoom18 жыл бұрын
I've had no problems doing that. I think you will be good. The eggs seem to be able to handle a lot. Good luck!

+Will Arvin I've been working on a big surprise. I'll have one up soon.
@WeenieBikinii8 жыл бұрын
I couldn't get the eggs off the leaf to begin with so i sacrificed the leaf with hopes they would hatch and so far so good! They just entered the wiggling stage and only about 17 white eggs :O never made it this far so i'm pretty happy right now :D
@MikesFishRoom18 жыл бұрын
+Will Arvin awesome!
@zutterlee62068 жыл бұрын
Would H2O2 work with all eggs?
@OldSchoolFishGuy8 жыл бұрын
+Zutter Lee --- in that amount, it won't hurt any that I've heard of and since hydrogen peroxide is an antifungal type disinfectant type - it's a great idea --- old timers didn't have all these modern meds and many used H2O2 but some used methylene blue -- never heard of using anything else
@MikesFishRoom18 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure about that. This is a method that I picked up from my original angel breeder. Until seeing his method I didn't even know you could use it. I know the more excepted method is to generally use methyl blue. If I had another type of egg i.e. Discuss, I wouldn't be afraid to try.

+Old School Fish Guy Didnt even see your post. Thanks for giving that info. That's why I love this community! I get to learn and grow just reading comments on my own channel. U da man Ole school!

Tanks much sir! I figured you'd get to it and say basically the same thing, but I find KZfaq drops notifications sometimes, so I figured to help out with what I thought was a great question. Your explanation of this whole process is fantastic. Few people truly understand and the detail you are giving makes these great videos.
