@@freedomwriter1995 his old workshop was too big, he probably got a better deal on the new place, the old place was kinda out in the middle of nowhere from what I remember, he left Spain because of several reasons. A few which I forgot. But I think when he would order parts it took much longer, maybe the climate was a bit of an issue, and I forget the other reasons. One thing I do respect is he drags all that stuff with him. 😂 Hopefully this will be the home of restore it for awhile.

You're pretty spot on here! Too hot in Spain, and not enough local knowledge to get by was a big one, as fun as it was. I need to work quickly and the UK is good for that. Also, after the Mercedes W123 I've decided that I'm not going to restore other people's cars, haha. So, I only need space for my car, car parts and antique restorations. Cheers guys!

Gotta love that no matter what you do, you're restoring stuff! It just turns out that right now, you're restoring your shop! And as a lover of watching sandblasting in action, i am eagerly awaiting seeing what you do with that (new) old blasting cabinet!

Definitely add a backlight to the sign, maybe get the decal printed and then put it on a sheet of acrylic to give it a backing, will just need to create a digital template of the arrow shape

Make the light sign retro looking. Make the sticker a bit worn out and damaged and use old style bulbs if you can instead of leds.

Shop’s looking great, nice score on the blast cab. I’m guessing the difference in your fittings is CFMs based on the inside diameter of the male fittings, but not 100% sure keep it up man

Apparently PCL connectors are primarily used in pneumatic applications, whereas BSP connectors are for applications that involve transporting fluids.. hope that helps.

Really great to see all the upgrades in the new shop! Ever considered polyaspartic coating for the floor? I'm concerned that the concrete patching you did will chip off the surface in a couple of years. It looked like you didn't saturate the surface with water before applying it or covering the patches and edge filling to extend the curing time and that floor paint will not age well. Also, Cerakote would be a better option for the hopper on your new (to you) blaster. That abrasive will eventually eat into the relatively softer epoxy paint. Cheers! Edit: Just saw you used a worm clamp to secure that PCL fitting to the hose - VERY DANGEROUS and is an OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) violation here in the US

Agree that lighting up the exit sign would be good, but don't take up too much wall space on decorations like some workshops. Would it be possible to line the new blasting cabinet with stainless steel sheet rather than painting it ?

I think you're right. I don't want it cluttered in there, just a few finishing touches. That's actually a really good idea. I've already painted it, but I will look into getting some sheets cut. Cheers!

Can you remember what the luminance K value was for both LED strips, but specifically the yellow LED strips? I need some yellow strips like those, but I'd like to know the K value you bought so I have a frame of reference. Also definitely let us know if mixing them looks even better, or if you find a medium between the two what those K values are.

I've just checked and they are 4000k. I'm 99% sure that I started with one warm white and one cold white. I'll keep you updated in the coming episodes!

Watch out using to smal inner diameter air hoses and connectors for your blast cabinet. You will lose pressure and cfm at your gun

I was thinking about this, but I think this is the norm for this CFM. It's only 50/60 CFM, which is small compared to some of the big boy compressors and blasting setups out there.
