prachtige video, altijd leuk om de ritten naar Amersfoort te zien! ik reis er verreweg het meest van alle stations in Nederland, en het heeft mij de inspiratie gegeven om mogelijk later een machinist te worden! deze video's zijn ook een grote inspiratie om machinist te worden!

If this isn't the last train into Amsterdam from these country stations then it must be next to it. The camera certainly captures anything that is illuminated. These night drives have made me aware of the large number of trackside signs which I am not really noticing during the day; their reflective quality makes them stand out at night. Also standing out was the huge amount of light spill (or light scatter) from Amsterdam city seen when exiting from Hemtunnel. In the data at the start I assume the distance is the whole journey, but the cost is Hoorn - Amsterdam. If it was through to Amersfoort then it would be a very economical journey.

I love Amersfoort. I lived in Amersfoort for about 10 days in the mid-80's, working for NOS in Hilversum.

@@CabviewHolland wich is not great, the netherlands ruins every little green space they have. Amsterdam needed to create whole new forest, wich is called amsterdamse bos, because of the lack of co2 filtrations, yes trees turn Co2 into oxygen. There should be a law made that it is forbidden to build on green space. or it should be compensated with building new green spaces.

This cam is not really suitable for vlogging. Have you checked the latest larger sensor DJI products?

Thank you for this video. Would you be so kind to answer a few quuestions: 1. Whan is the dutch railways loading gauge? 2. Is not pretty expensive to maintain such quantity of roading equipment? 3. I see that all tne net are very well maintained, but I wonder why is keeped so low voltage, which is so much expensive during explotation?

1. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loading_gauge 2. No idea 3. This low voltage was chosen over 100 years ago because in tests, higher voltages interfered with the telegraph lines. It is expensive to change it. New lines are built for 25 kV.

leuke video weer zoals altijd :) is er ook een speciale regeling voor de verlichting tijdens het rijden? ik zie u vaak soms de lichten aan en uit doen, heeft dit te maken net zoals met autos dat je met een tegenligger het grootlicht uit doet?

Wat je vooral ziet is de schijnwerper die deze trein heeft. Daarnaast brand hwt gebruikelijke frontsein, de 3 lampen dus, maar ze zijn vrij zwak.

Have the same question . . . in the U.S. the practice of running a locomotive at night without lights is forbidden (safety reasons; the whole idea is to see and be seen at all times). Trains typically dim their lights (the headlights are rated in the neighborhood of 600 watts) when approaching another train, but the lights, markers and End of Train devices are never turned off.

Three lamps in a triangle arrangement are on all the time but too dim to actually see anything. In this video I am using the high beams, those generate enough light to be functional.

In deze video zie je vooral de schijnwerpers, die dim ik. De gebruikelijke 3 lampen van het frontsein branden altijd.

Dubbel enkelspoor beveiliging. Als er geen tegenligger aankomt en er ook geen rijweg is ingesteld naar dat spoor tonen de blokseinen (P-seinen) groen (en de laatste voor het volgende bediende sein geel) in beide richtingen. Zodra een rijweg voor een tegenligger wordt ingesteld worden de P-seinen voor links rijden rood.

We have some challenging terrain in the extreme south of the country, where in 1925 a 12,5 km long section of new line was build at the cost (at that time) of one million guilder per kilometer. It is now part of the heritage line of the 'Zuid-Limburgse Stoomtrein Maatschappij'.

not at all, some areas are very expensive to build on as amsterdam the haque and rotterdam are build on a swamp, it is very challenging. the HSL from amsterdam to brussel for example was a hell to build, and it is still not functioning properly, they need to rebuild the whole line as " mistake " where made.
