I'm glad there are people out there like you supporting/helping other riders instead of just shitting on them. When I bought my Vulcan 500 people kept saying "why don't you get a real mans bike". I'm not trying to do 100+ right now. I'm enjoying just cruising the back roads continuing to learn. Good on you.

Currently ride a SV650S but the Street triple has been on my mind lately. And around the same time I started doing some research on it you got yours, so all your videos on it have been very insightful.

Saw this on MotoStars and was gonna bust on the guy but being a novice on pretty much his first ride this makes a lot of sense. Mistakes happen and he was feeling the pressure. I'm sure you'll keep coaching him and he'll quickly gain confidence. He looks like he could use a bit more time in the parking lot tho. I know everyone is probably giving their $0.02 on bike recommendations for this guy so here's mine, an MT-07 or a Ninja 650. Not too much power that they're dangerous and not so little power that you'll get bored of them in a month or two. They've both got plenty of room for someone to learn and grow.

That's about the perfect group size, anymore and it gets chaotic. Nice of you to walk him through the mishap. As I said on the motostars video, every expert was once a beginner. 🤙 Edit: hopefully getting the Triumph Speed 400.

I just picked up a ninja 500 abs a few days ago. It's been a blast to ride so far, but taking it very slow and easy. I've been obsessively watching videos to continue learning after finishing the BRC. Seriously impressed by the slow mo breakdown you did in this video. So much to learn from that. Subbed and liked. I love watching new motovloggers! I was hoping to get my first bike this week but it has to wait. I’m getting that beautiful 2024 Ninja 500 in the metallic matte white! Just wish they made the SE with the tft display in white. Just worried about my weight, I’m like 240 but I heard they’re still good from big dudes like me on 400s. I don’t have any safety equipment yet so a helmet would help a ton!

It looks like he doesn't know how to properly turn a motorcycle to me. I am in no way ripping on your friend. This almost happened to me and a buddy of mine when we first started riding. We messed around in a parking lot for a few hours and could turn at low speeds but when we hit the road and started to actually accelerate while turning we would stand the bike up and run wide. He needs to practice pushing left to go left and pushing right to go right and actually holding it. That's just my opinion because I had a few of those sh** my pants moments just like that and it was a combination of being unfamiliar, stressed, and not really knowing what I was doing yet. I hope your friend is okay and doesn't let this get him down. It's all good, it happens.

Stalling your bike is definitely scary, even if it happens to everyone. You should let us know what bike your friend ends up getting. I’m hoping to get a KTM 390 Duke for my first bike.

Has he done much low speed stuff? manoeuvres, tight turns etc... It looked to me like he had frozen on the bike and couldn't get it to lean, If he was able to get it to lean it would turn so much easier... I vividly remember this from when I first tried riding a scooter, and it just refused to turn, it just kept going straight ahead because I knew only how to ride a pushbike and not how to lean the bike underneath me so it would actually turn! it was so long ago, but seems like yesterday I can't believe how hard it was then, and how easy it is now that I don't stay solid with the bike. & just let the bike lean as much as "IT" needs to, and only use my own weight to keep balance.
