In fact he was winning on points in that fight, until he did that. Love Holyfield, but he was notorious as he got older for head butting in the clinch, especially if he was losing. Mike got fed up, and reacted badly, and basically his career was over, he was never the same.

The problem is not even that his prior opponents were retired, but that they were from different martial arts. It's like inviting a triathlete to compete in Olympic swimming or a marathon runner to hurdling. Like yeah, they are somewhat similar on the surface, but they're totally different at their core.

You have to keep in mind, Jake Paul also isn't a veteran in boxing. If he was an actual professional boxer who's been boxing for years, then of course that'd be strange that he's inviting people from different martial arts backgrounds. This is not the case however, Jake Paul himself is a KZfaqr, an amateur boxer, and isn't experienced in the way a traditional boxer would be. He's been doing KZfaq for basically his whole adult life and did wrestling beforehand in high school. He's not a boxer, he's a KZfaqr. Overall he's also raising a lot of money for these other fighters he's bringing on. So I don't see the problem with him fighting them. They're most likely getting the biggest payday in their whole careers.

@@Kook501not entirely sure "biggest pay day theyll ever have" is entirely correct. You gotta remember, some of the ufc fighters are belt holders. Anderson and nick diaz atleast. They were being paid top dollar to do some of those fights. Yea hes bringing awareness but when you pull in the fact he cant seem to fight anybody his age really just makes ir sad.

In a legitimate matchup between Tyson and Paul, Iron Mike Tyson would absolutely destroy Jake Paul despite the 30+ years in age difference. ...for Jake Paul. In all seriousness, Mike's cardiovascular system will probably be checked and monitored. Calcification/plaque is a serious risk factor. So is old internal scarring. The real danger is some sort of brain hemorrhage due to fragile bloodvessels. Not sure what the chances of that are. Older people don't recover as fast, that's for sure but that won't stop Mike from being dangerous during the fight.

Tyson may be older, but he has a lifetime of muscle memory and skill, plus with his being a controlled sociopath he has an added dark, vicious element when he's in the ring that he's said would even scare him at times. The ONLY way Mike loses is if he got paid a LOT to take a fall, but I personally just can't see Tyson going out with his last fight being a loss.
