George was so awesome. He was a great musician, singer and songwriter but never hesitated to be a little comical, never took himself too seriously Perfect!

"Blow Away" is part of his 1979 album, which also includes a hidden gem called "Your Love Is Forever".

This was the lead single from George's self titled 1979 album. It was voted one of his most popular songs from his solo career. He was in top form lyrically and vocally for this catchy melody. Beautiful guitar work from George as only George can do. He wrote this song while being frustrated with a leak at his Friar Park home. Feeling of frustrating and inadequacy, made him realize it was not going to help him, so George wrote this beautiful song. Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Stephen for more George. ❤️ Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

I'll never know why this wasn't a much bigger hit, it's so lovely. Incidentally, the "footsteps" are a tribute to The Shadows, as that was their trademark movement when performing.

It was released as a single at a time when Disco dominated everything - plus it wasn't very effectively promoted (IMO) and - as compared to his more successful singles - it's not especially radio friendly (not like "My Sweet Lord" or "I Got my Mind Set on You" and so on). But it would always be right in the middle of any top 10 George songs I would ever compile - this and "Dark Horse" as well as the big-uns of course!

You can always recognise a George Harrison slide guitar solo just as you can always recognise a Steve Wonder harmonica solo. That's the sign of great talent.

Those footsteps remind me when with the Beatles he used to tease with some soft dance on stage, and here he pretends he's playing one part of the song with his left hand. Adorable George!!!

The dance steps were a take on what The Shadows were doing in the early 60's......George often subtly included tributes to artists he liked in his music and videos. He was friends with Hank Marvin and Bruce Welch in the mid-late 60's from being at the EMI Studios at Abbey Road at the same time.

This is one of my very favorite George songs. Somewhat, as when my brother and I got into The Beatles, in 1978 (we saw "Yellow Submarine" at a local children's movie feature) this was the first solo George that we knew. The video, fine with George, the weather, white stage, his guitar, and footwork,...why the mechanical or ceramic animals, who knows. Early Videos! His videos for "Crackerbox Palace" and "this song" are just more fun, and kooky.

I love George's humor! I'm not sure if you've done "Crackerbox Palace" yet, but it's a funny one too. George was always my favorite Beatle because, even as a child, I think I sensed their was more to him than just being the "quiet Beatle". He never came across as pretentious like the others. He didn't take things as seriously as the others, even though he did have the reputation of being kind of stern and terse.

This is one of my top 5 favorite Harrisongs, same message as 'All Things Must Pass'. It puts things in perspective and it's one of the catchiest songs he ever wrote. If this had been released under the Beatles name it would have easily been a #1.
