i never met mike, didnt know him personally but watching his videos you could tell he was decent chap. wasnt in it for fame and money like a lot of youtubers. i watched this recent video just now cuz i havent seen anything from mike in a while and was choked up to see him. his disease took hold pretty quick and it was so sad to see, then i read through the comments to find out he passed away. ive never felt like this about anyone off of youtube that passed away but mike was good egg, 100%. gonna miss his videos, gonna miss him and his live streams. much love love to his family and friends and all those that knew him. say hi to jimi for us mike and ask him where his monterey guitar is x

Rest in peace Mike. You were one of the first youtubers i ever found or watched at 13. I'm now 24 and my life's been a rollercoaster to say the least. Thank you so fucking much for all the effort you put into your channel and videos, I'm sure there were good and bad days like everything and everyone else. I hope in the end it was worth everything and you got exactly what you wanted out of it, love and peace my friend ❤️

Unbelievable how quick this goes. So hard to watch this video, knowing you are no longer under us. One of my doctors have diagnosed me with ALS a few years ago. Thank god it turned out to be wrong and im still here...feeling a lot better. But i remember well how i felt the months thinking i will go through this too one day. It took 3 months until i heard that i dont have it actually. Anyway, i dont want to turn this into my story. Just saying, i can especially feel this loss, even not having seen many videos of you. I wish the best to the family and friends involved, RIP Mike.

It's a sad day and we've lost a brother I will always remember Mike and think of his incredible strength throughout his struggle with MND when I'm faced with challenges. I started watching CGS a bit before his diagnosis and continued to watch through his physical decline. It takes an incredibly strong man to share something like this with people he doesn't even know and all the while still making guitar related content God Bless you brother You will not be forgotten!

When I was a young guitar player, I would watch your videos all night. I ended up buying a chibson myself. I wanted to say my condolences to your family and thank you for being a part of my young and fun guitar journey. It’s so hard for me to come back Al these years and hear and see the news. Sorry to hear of Mike's passing very sad news. He seemed a really nice decent genuine guy. He would take the time to reply to all the comments on his videos. We know he's been battling this horrible condition for quite some time now and sadly the outcome was inevitable. But it's always a damn shame when the good guy's go down early. Condolences to Mikes family and friends including the CGS community. RIP Mike rock in peace brother.

I too was pegged during throat cancer treatment. And it'll be better for ya Mike I promise. And as you know I beat my cancer for now. Recently I joined a popular local band as their new guitarist and will be out and about playing to the crowds soon. You can't imagine how inspirational you have been for me Mike. Your friendship helped me through my bad times. First with my Chibson mistake and then of course my cancer. To me you are what we humans were put on this earth to be. As many have said He was one of the first KZfaqrs i watched and i really enjoyed his videos and the way he covered the sketchy waters of buying Chinese guitars in a way that was unbiased and very informative.
