Thank you for all the advice and tips for us in hot climates. I'm so glad I went with emperor 1 for full sun, now i just have to wait to see it grow nicely in my back yard!

This is cool. I never would've expected a podcast like this to exist. I have a little Bloodgood that I've been growing for 4 years now. It almost died 3 years ago, zone 5-6, planted in full sun, near the paved road. I reluctantly moved it to a more shady spot further back on the property, and it's now absolutely thriving. Location made all the difference.

I'm thinking about adding another variety in a full sun spot, that's exposed to wind. What would you guys think about a Coral Bark, or is there a better option?

Coral barks work best in 6-9. Zone 5 can be hard. Most coral barks do awesome in sun

Maybe y'all can help me decide between tamukeyama and germaine's gyration for my west facing oklahoma front garden. I'm stuck going back and forth! Love the growth pattern of the germaines and the red of the tamukeyama!
