Thank you, Hope! Yes, seedaholics! Love your channel name! I've grown it before and liked it but it's been a long time. I went a little crazy on the cherry tomatoes this year and I can't wait! I even added a few more varieties after making this video 🙈 It's a real problem 😂

We cannot wait to start a garden it may be a while we are in the NW Ohio area. I loved your video. Last year we had a strange year for growing our tomatoes and Okra were beautiful we got a large crop, but everything else was just bad. My husband grew up on our land and his family had huge gardens and sold produce . We are hoping to plant a lot more this year. I grew up in the country eating from our garden and my grandparents so luck to grow up by them. I wish you all the luck in your garden and can't wait to see how it turns out God bless

It seems like we always either have too much rain or not enough, never a happy medium 😆 I'm planting way more this year so hopefully we can keep up with it. I hope y'all have a good growing year! Thank you for watching!

Yea The tomatoes you do not need to dip them and skin prior to freezing. Just score an X on the bottom and cut out the top stem core. Once defrosting the skins slip easily on their own.

Great seed haul! Baker Creek is my favorite too! I have my seeds in binders with pockets made for seeds and I love it. 5 2inch binders but i should have gotten 3 inch, theyre stuffed full. 1 for spring/frost hardy crops, 1 for summer crops, 1 for flowers, 1 for herbs, 1 for perrennials. Alphabetized within the binders makes it easy to see what I should order next lol! Im in zone 9 ive had nearly 100 germination rate on Baker creek seeds. Your little girl is amazing shes such a precious angel

Oh, that's a good idea and a new one for me! Where did you find the binder pockets for seeds? I love Baker Creek and have had close to 100% germination too, all except for that one dud packet of Filius Blue Peppers 😂

@@thislovelylittlefarmhouse Amazon has the seed pockets for binders, they are well made and will hold 2 packs of seeds so you can do front and back on each page

I can absolutely recommend Sun Sugar cherry tomatoes. Orange. No cracking. Sweet and marvelous. Hold on vine and after picking wonderfully. Probably first to yield and will probably outlast all others through the season...plus no decrease in flavor over the season. It is a hybrid, though. I'm SOLD on it.

Hi, I really just loved your video, I also loved what you said about every seed to vegetable good and bad. I’m starting my garden for a second year, skipped last year in order to really decide what my priority goals were and the outcomes. You keep making these videos so that new growers can use your feedback. I’m interested in what zone your in, what state and about where in the state you are. It sure seems like you get plenty of rain. Also I was wondering what type of dirt you have and whether you need to add a lot of compost or extra dirt, do you grow in containers, lastly do you start your seeds early so you have a seedling to plant and what pests you deal with and how do you get rid of them? Sorry this was long. PS. The person that left you a negative review should be blocked. We all need to support each other instead of criticizing!!!!

Thank you so much for your sweet comment Andrea! I'm in zone 8b right on the border of 9 in southern Louisiana so we have a long growing season and typically lots of rain! It can be strangely hit or miss though. We'll go for months of rain every single day and then it'll change to months with barely any rain. That definitely makes it difficult to keep a consistent moisture for the plants. We have a row garden and also added raised beds last year. I'm hoping to do a garden tour soon. In our row garden, we definitely need to do some amending. Our soil is naturally pretty poor. For the raised beds, we bought some garden soil that is basically potting soil. Real sandy so it drains good and stays loose. I just started a big compost pile so I'm super excited to get that going and add some nutrients to our soil that way. I do start my seeds early indoors, I planted most of them last week and have a few more left to plant. I made a video last year about starting my seeds and my seed starting setup if your interested to see more about that. As far as pests, I'm still learning about that one. We do have lots of squash bugs and I haven't really found a good way to manage them naturally so we just deal with it. We have lots of tomato hornworms and I pick them off by hand using a black bulb flash light at night. They glow in the black light...it's really cool! The other main thing is birds and our guineas getting my tomatoes before I can so this year I'm going to do some bird netting for that. I hope that answers all of your questions 😁 gardening is definitely a learning journey but so rewarding and satisfying!

Hi Dianna, thank you for your feedback! (Mostly) organic gardening and especially with heirlooms is a learning experience. Our failures last year were either on our part with the bad soil, or out of our control like the rain. It definitely doesn't mean the seeds or company were bad and that's why I'm giving the same varieties another try this year as well as adding new ones. I'm still learning which varieties I prefer and which do well in my climate. I'm sorry that you were disappointed but I try hard to keep my channel real and authentic. If I only shared rave reviews I don't think it would be very helpful. Thank you for watching!

@Dianna Johnston I believe your comment on this video to be quite in-constructive. At the very least she should get credit for taking her precious time to tell us her experience with these seeds and how they grew and tasted. There will always be beginning gardeners and we need to say “thank you” to those that use KZfaq as a platform to share any gardening tips, good and bad. May God Bless you and your family!
