Excellent! MIDI control of pedals is just a wonderful thing....when coupled with the Helix Command Centre it just makes using MIDI equipped pedals together a delight.

Shows you how great the Line 6 Helix family is. When the Amp1 came one there were hundreds of vids on how to use the Helix effects with that unit, now the same with Tonex.

Hi Jason, thanks for your excellent content. Watching this video combining the Tonex with the Helix was interesting and got me thinking. As an avid Helix user wouldn’t be interesting if possible to put some of the Tonex captures from the pedal into the Helix and use the Amp/ Cab captures instead of the stock ones in Helix? I’m no guru on this and I’m not sure if there was a way to do this? If you could in some way then utilise the Helix effects with the Tonex captures? This is something I would consider if possible as I’ve been seriously impressed with what I’ve been hearing. Keep up the good work. 😁👍

Hey Jason. Huge fan of your channel and customer of some of your fantastic tonex amp captures! Thank you for all the great content! I'm a new HX Stomp XL/Tonex pedal/Morningstar MC6 Pro user and I was wondering if I should use the Morningstar to do all the midi switching on both the tonex and the HX and then just use the HX in stomp mode or if I should use the midi programming in the Stomp to do some of the midi switching on the tonex. Is there a benefit to using one or the other? Also, would it be smart to use the effects in tonex pedal (gate, eq, comp, reverb) to save some DSP blocks on the stomp or is it better to use tonex basically effects free and use the HX Stomp for all the effects? Put another way, does it matter that the tonex Noise gate or reverb for example is in the Stomp loop?

How much convenient would it be if they included more effects! They have included reverb, why not all the basic ones that you put after the the amp section. Like delay, chorus and so on…I wish this was all in one unit

GREAT VIDEOS on this topic Jason! Hey, I have a few questions! Maybe they’d be worth your intelligence hahaha. 1st. Can I use the Helix floor as a reamp station to make captures? If so how? I have a few amps I’d love be to capture but I don’t have a fancy interface… 2nd. Can I capture just drive pedals out of my helix and then take them onto the tonex pedal as a “multi” drive pedal set up for my real amps in a small form? Basically I have a victory kraken that I play lots but it’s not at home so I’d love to have that captured for home but I use the Helix as an interface at home and on the other side of it, if I can capture just the boost pedals from the Helix I could take the tonex which is a fraction of the size to my on site locations with the kraken and just use it as the different boosts in front of the amp instead of lugging the helix! Sounds like something I'd love to have. But I don't think I'd ever be able to figure out how to use it. Maybe as a freestanding unit.

Hey Jason, kinda new to your channel since I just got a Helix(going digital partly for convenience and well, my last hearing test wasn't good and I'm a full on metal guy) and I had a question. I know the ToneX is a profiler, which I am also going to be new to(still waiting for delivery) which will profile the tone at the time, but the EQ on the ToneX won't be the same as the real amp. The question I have is let's say I use a 5150 or any other amps profile in the ToneX, could I instead EQ with the Helix which will have a more similar EQ than the Tonex? Does this make sense?

Issue I'm running into is that snapshot reselect doesn't seem to fire the program change... have setup my 4 snapshots on HX Effects and then have my clean crunch and filth presets ready to go on the Tonex. Some snapshots switch presets, some don't, but if I change presets on Tonex using its three footswitches then the snapshot PC won't change them back without first going to a snapshot that uses a different PC than the one on the current snapshot... this is a very hard problem to type out!

Hey, can you run the tonex pedal into the helix input via USB? Have you tried it out? Wouldn't that give you 1 more available block too?

I’m confused… why get toneX when you have helix? Or do you get helix effects to go with toneX? Is it just for the Capture feature missing from line 6; or is it superior amp/cabs. Seems to not have the effects one would want/need?

How do you do to change command center settings per snapshot without saving in every snapshot? If I select a midi program, then go to snapshot 2 and select another setting, if I come back to snapshot 1 the changes are lost. I have to go to command center, snapshot 1, edit, close and save preset. Then go to another snapshot, command center, edit and save... 4 times per snapshot. Is this normal?

Hi Jason- Thanks for your videos- they are all very informative! How do i set up my HX Stomp to dial in a specific amp on Tonex Pedal? When i change the preset on HX - the preset in Tonex Pedal changes too. So I was going to command center and apply a Preset change for the first switch- then i entered the number (PC-Number?) of the Tonex . I saved the Preset on HX Stomp- but after that it remains the same. ( Example. HX Stomp Preset 01A - Tonex Pedal Preset Bank 1 switch 2) If anybody else can help me- help is appreciated!

OK so quick question. I have some presets which are very DSP heavy and I wish I could use more effects on those presets. Could I remove the Amp block I currently am using and then use tonex with a similar captured Amp to free up DSP or is just not good thinking and the whole point of tone x is to just be able to use more Amp Sims that are captured versus what helix comes with...
