Okay as someone who used to be a complete mess and managed to sort her life out relatively well, I HAVE TIPS. Obviously I can't guarantee it'll work, but these have really helped me and I hope they can help you too

I'm turning 26 this February and I completely understand the stress and pressure to have everything sorted out. Like for some reason over 25 means you are an adult-adult. Wishing us both grace through navigating older 20s and coming out of a pandemic that no one knows how to fully recover from.

I find myself gravitating toward more mundane everyday routine vlogs rather than travel because it just feels like sharing my day with someone if that makes sense ❤

I had a really bad end to 2022… my Gma who I was the caretaker of died Nov 15, my mom (only 65) had to be put in a memory care nursing home 3 days later, and now my uncle is hurriedly trying to kick my husband and I out of our house that my Gma bought so we’d be close by, not giving us anytime to find somewhere to go. All that to say, Soph you are a welcome distraction for both the hubs and I. And if you feel like sending me a box makeup is my outlet and it would be appreciated… but I’m in the US. Happy 2023 to everyone, it’s gotta be a better year.

I totally know what you mean about Christmas! I’m super sentimental and have always loved Christmas. Even though things will always change, what helps me is 1) make the whole Christmas period, and Christmas Eve especially, magical and bring back childhood memories. Whether that’s watching certain movies, arranging presents under the tree, baking with Christmas music blaring! (for example I always go to the same church on Christmas Eve I used to go to as a child where I have memories looking out the window at the sky trying to spot Santa!) 2) Start making your own traditions! Big or small. (Eg we always make a ham dinner for just us two Christmas week, and look forward to that. We also arrange a night to invite both our parents over for drinks) 3) For people you don’t get to see Christmas Day, invite them round for a cosy hot choc night. 4) Decorating! Embrace being able to decorate your own home, and go all out! There’s never enough fairy lights 😉 Basically make sure you’re surrounded by the magic of Christmas for the whole period. It keeps the enjoyment and takes a lot of the “pressure” off Christmas Day.

I feel you. I can’t believe I’m turning 27 in July. Like what. Where does the time go. I can totally relate on the wanting to do more traveling this year. I am currently unemployed and feel like now is the perfect time to do some traveling. Your only young once. Might as well make the most of it. I just need to learn to be ok with the fact that everyone else thinks it’s a waste of my money to travel. That I should be saving all my money for a house. Not that I’d ever blow all my money. I’m just a big people pleaser and put others above me all the time. Miss out on or not do stuff I’d like because of what they think. Like the traveling. So this I’m going to try really hard to put all that aside and travel. Because that’s what I really want to do/ feel like what I should be doing right now. So look. I’m almost 27 and I have nothing figured out lol. And that’s ok

January is such a depressing miserable month post Christmas. I remember last year you didn't feel great in January. I'm ready for summer sunshine and counting down the days! I'm the opposite to you, hyper organised & tidy. I can't sit still & relax if everything isn't done & in place. That causes issues as I never sit still & relax & burn myself out often. I have been catching up on a lot of organising myself recently. I've had a bit of tough time in my life as well, where I just did the absolute necessities when it comes to organising, so basically out of sight out of mind. After a while every cupboard/closet I opened was a problem and I had no systems in place whatsoever. What really helped me personally was taking time to think about my systems, whether that was for storing items or for remembering to do things of starting new habits. This way it's a bit harder at the beginning, because things first get messier, before they get better. However you will only have to think about it once. Having a permanent place for things also really sped up tidying for me. Before I would change my systems out so frequently that there was no system in place anymore and 80% of me tidying was just thinking about where to put something and now I just have to put it where it belongs and that saves sooo much time. This also works for other things, I never used to have a good overview of my finances and it would always take me forever to figure something out. Now that I have taken the time to find a system that works good for me, it literally takes me 5-10 minutes every week and I know exactly how my finances are looking. I realised that the most time I spend on organising, was just me stressing about the lack of organisation and being overwhelmed. I took it step by step, cupboard by cupboard, sometimes even shelf by shelf and that really helped me. edit: I just finished the video and would love to be selected for a box hehe 👀

To say I felt the way you described your feelings about Christmas deep in my soul, would be an understatement!! I’m from a big family, I’m the second oldest out of 10 kids, and we all used to live together for the longest time. And life was chaotic but great. Especially the holidays which were the best!!! Then 6 years ago we all separated and went our own ways and everyone moved out of state and now I’m left basically alone. It’s been 6 years and I still haven’t adjusted! I have 3 littles of my own so I’ve tried making it solely about them but not having the closeness of my family like I always did makes it difficult! I wish more than anything that my babies could experience the big close family like I did. I can relate to that feeling during the holidays. I had a good time and there was nothing to be feeling down about, but something just felt off. When I was a kid the excitement was unreal, in a good way. It felt so whimsical. Life as an adult, I'm only a little bit younger than you, feels so bland and stripped from just simple happiness.

I always feel stressed after new years but this year I was able to take the time needed and just not do anything. 100% understand how you felt about missing the way Christmas used to feel like as a kid. This year was the first Christmas in our first home for me and my boyfriend and it was just so strange, exciting but weird. After spending most of last year renovating the house, one thing I wanted was to have a Christmas up. It made me realise how fast the year goes and how fast life can go by. Really didn't want to take my tree down either, got a bit emotional doing it. January Blues are definitely a thing! You are not alone in the Xmas nostalgia too! Buying a cute daily planner and writing chores and small things in my to do lists make me feel more pull together and productive since I will anyway ‘complete’ them 😂. Even if it’s just making my morning routine as a task, ticking it at the end of the day makes it as an accomplishment. Don’t know if I’m the only one but it helps 😅. The way I stay organised is with lists. It works for me cause I just find it so satisfying to tick things off. And planning out my week with sticky notes before I write everything down in my diary. Honestly I admire how you get everything done but I also sometimes wonder how. If I were in your shoes I’d definitely need some help to keep myself on track, just to make sure there’s time for everything to get done. 💜💜💜

Hey Soph, I totally understand when you say the holidays just do not feel the same anymore. The past two Christmases have been difficult because I ended 2021 going into 22' with stage 4 cancer. Then I am coming into this year with my grandmother passing away. So it's been tough dealing with big changes as one gets older. But we have to continue on and cherish the little moments we do get to have with our loved ones. My work actually did a workshop on the "holiday blues" because it's becoming a more apparent phenomenon. & what I learned was trying to go into the holidays with little to no expectations. Coming into thr holidays without worries or hopes can be healing & healthy. This can remove the romanticism in our heads that our society & media puts out there. I think that would help a lot and prevent the "holiday blues". Hope that helps. Wish you the best in this new year. ❤️

I feel this a lot soph! I'm 27 this year and have so much stress and pressure on myself for not knowing where i want to be in life. it's so hard not to but going to try harder this year to be kinder to myself, do more things i enjoy, and not stress about timing 🥰

I’ve found that writing everything down I want to get done on a large to-do list and then writing small task on every day in my calendar makes it more manageable❤️ I’m a lot more relaxed now that I just plan one week at time with small things to accomplish every day Also, love the concept of the mixed box. It’s always exiting to try out new things☺️❤️

I really do miss Christmas as a child. I miss my grandmother. She would always come over Christmas morning to watch my sister and I open gifts. I live very far from all my family now too, so I don’t see them over the holidays now. I don’t have my family and friends and I usually have to work around the holiday. It’s just depressing! I miss the magic of the season.

The way I stay organized is asking myself, "will my future self thank me for this?" It helps to take a pause and reflect on the choice that you make in the moment. If the task is too much for you to deal with at that time, then give yourself a deadline and put it on a To-Do list or a calendar event on your phone. I also just wanted to say that while I think it's great to have goals for yourself in the new year, "new years resolutions" and the concept of a "New Year" is all society driven. The months in the year are all relative and so is the passage of time! Try re-framing your mindset around it and instead of thinking of it as too much pressure, think of it as a clean slate and a fresh start! It's all about perspective and the way you frame your attitude around it. Don't worry about what anyone else thinks and always put yourself first with your goals. We love you and want the best for you, Soph!

Hi Soph! Very relatable your feelings. I'm 31, and I still feel like I need to sort my life out. Or become a responsible adult. But more and more I'm also feeling more at ease with not being that sorted and just taking life as it comes. Don't pressure yourself in thinking your life needs to be organised. I love the idea of the make up box. As I'm currently experimenting a lot with make up, because without it, I feel like I look too sick and too much like a cancer patient. I wish you all the best for 2023. 2022 has been the worst year of my life, and it will take some time for 2023 to be any better. But once I finish my chemo in March and after my surgery in April there are still so many months left for 2023 to better and taking back my life 💪 I really hope your post christmas blues will fade. But even if they don't I love that you are so open about it and feel comfortable sharing this with us ❤

One of the things I love about vlogs is they are just an insight in to what people get up to, doesn’t have to be exciting stuff all the time. It’s nice to just see people being authentic which you always are in any videos you put out. It must be hard trying to keep posting content on all the different social media pages and having 2 KZfaq channels as well, so don’t feel too pressured to do it. Would watch your videos anyway 😊

Something that really helped me feel more organized/productive was putting on a twitch streamer who was doing “study with me” because body doubling really helps keep me on track!

This was such a lovely chat - really felt like spending some time with a pal! I've been feeling the same sort of dread regarding the new year, but I try to focus on one thing at a time to get by! As far as organization goes, my best tip is to write everything down in a planner, and dedicate time for everything that needs it. If the planner says to tidy the room from 1pm to 2pm, that's what you gotta do!! At least it works for me. Hope you find something that works for you! I rediscovered my love of art through makeup in lockdown can't do it everyday as I'd love to but it makes me happy when I do you and many others inspire me altho doubt myself being old and not to beauty standards so don't feel good enough to make anything from it... really struggling with lil no support emotionally physically financially.. feel like giving up.. keep being you x

Also, it was the first Christmas for our newborn son, and my husband's expectations were incredibly high that everything had to be perfect. That was too much pressure... we had a big fight and I decided that this year we will celebrate with our family. So getting older can also be chance by creating new traditions how your "perfect" Christmas should be.
