I went to rouen as a kid on a kind of tour with my mum. I remember the clock and the joan of arc memorial. I got stuck on the opposite mountain to my mum too. But that's another story. 🤣 Great video as always. Love your adventures. LJ

Considering the learner law states that a 125cc motorbike can be a maximum of 15hp, the monkey bike would be much better if it was 15hp instead of 9.4hp. I bet the bike gives good mpg. Believe it or not, France is actually quite a technically advanced country.

I was surprised to see you taking the Autoroutes, particularly the toll versions. France is epic on the smaller roads, even if they are a bit slower.

Do those panniers create a lot of drag? It must have been a strong headwind. I’ve ridden my Monkey on many 400-500 km days and have rarely dropped into the 70s. Only on really long or steep hills. Monkeys are tough little things though…..handle it like a champ. Cheers!

I did hit loads of headwind and up hills in the first few days. The panniers have not made much difference and the top speed picks up loads on day 4 & 5 around 110kph.

Paul is a super nice guy and we agreed that he would catch me up if I went through the toll. 125cc vs 1100cc means it won’t take long. 😉

Sidekicks know their place, if you give them an inch and you're a Lord, then they will lose respect and reverence for their masters and will start to feel as though they are equals, and the social structure that is centuries old will crumble and fail..
