I would say be gentle with your friend. His heart is lurking for a women, which is a great honorable thing. Discuss with him different ways he could interact with women. For women, I would say give a guy the benefit of the doubt, don't label them as "creepy" too often. Women aren't the best at talking to men either. Good topic to discuss!

Thank you for this, Amber. As a young man (23), I can relate to that late 20's guy a lot. I think I feel that desperate for someone when I am idolizing the human relationship over God. In the end, I can't love anybody well if I don't love God. So my goal is to focus on Jesus first, and let whatever happens happen.

A lot of Catholic men even in the TLM have poor social skills. A relationship requires so much. Same values, same beliefs, but also attraction and social skills. And if you do all that and it doesn't work still, maybe God wants you to only be satisfied with him for now or you have issues that need healing and repenting of.

Yeah.... if you're desperate to date others, you're putting so much pressure on yourself that when it doesn't happen, you can get resentful, bitter, and angry. I know it's scary at the idea of being single forever, but relationships are all about self giving, and when you want to move to another city to be with someone before you even actually talk, that's so unwise and desperate. Chill out, and give it to Jesus and trust in him, and better yourself. But don't make an idol out of marriage. I feel like our society has a lot of suffering because we were taught to 'wait till you're 30" to get married and THEN being slammed with "if you're 30 you're too old to have kids" (mostly women)... so I'm not surprised that people are desperate to force it when they're "too old". Society has run us through the mill and back. Sometimes from our own parents and family have led us astray.

I think you should address men with this issues specially Catholic young guys, send them to their local priest. "as I women I can say that's really creepy" (14:59) yeah, that's what we all men fear big time perception from women today. It's better to invite the audience to the bishop or local priest, they LITERALLY hold the pulse of their Diosesis. Meaning they have the best information how catholics or any regular young men need to hear. And also. We men don't like to hear advice from girls. Just saying. In marriage we listen to our wife's because she is our main core interest, but when we listen from other women it's just sound aggressive. It's just the same way you women don't take advise from men about PMS. And men we listen to blunt trues since being toddlers. So that thing of "worried about hurting his feelings if I say something " that's girls words. That's not a guy talking. Sound it to me it was a girl pretending to be a guy in her writing.
