@Arte FloeYes, i use the the high back version with leaf arms as my main chair at home (in front of my pc) since about a year. The chair is still comfortable (it does support my back the way i like it), i use different sitting positions all the time (the mesh is flexible enough to be comfortable in different positions). One thing that i find funny is: the mesh in the cosm is a dust magnet: i had to clean the chair like 2 times a week in winter, the chair seems to filter all the dust particles from the air in my room, which can be a bonus (i actually like it) or can be annoying. Still, because you have no adjustments on this model (with leaf arms) other than height adjustment, a test sitting (like i did) before ordering the model is a must!

Any updates on the chair a year later. Would be curious. Just got mine, getting adjusted to it.

@@yepyat2892 It took a little getting used to initially since it's not highly adjustable like the Aeron. But after a few weeks, I've grown to love it. The leaf armrests are especially nice I find. My only minor complaint is I got it in a whitish tone - it looks spectacular, but shows up dust really easily!

@@yepyat2892 Stick with it for a couple of weeks - your posture will eventually settle into it. I struggled initially too as my previous non-HM chair was diabolical for my back, but now it feels completely natural to sit in the Cosm.

The adjustable armrests have a soft rubber cover. It doesn’t really get softer over time, but I’ve found it to be pretty comfortable on the whole (I’ve used it for close to two months now without issue). Even when gaming, and my elbows on it for hours, I’ve found it to remain soft enough to not cause any pain or discomfort. I hope this helps.

Apologies for the delayed response. Truthfully, I wish I had the option of trying out the mid-height model. I do think it most likely would have been the better purchase, given how my shoulders are ever so slightly pushed forward in the high back option. Even so, I've been using the Chair daily for almost two years now; and I still thoroughly enjoy it.

@@HansHaupt embody's armrests are very forward, specifically not close enough to where you naturally lay your arms. As you raise the armrest, it actually goes up and forward...fantastic isn't it? which makes tall users even more difficult to rest their arms. besides, I can tell from your footage that my torso length is very close to yours, though I am only about 184cm with a long torso(I've been literally dying to be sitting in my current dining chair with no enough support going towards my middle and above of the shoulder blades). If you have the chance later, try both the remastered aeron(comes in 3 sizes, try the size C one) and embody chair. based on my experience as a "tall user", aeron size C has a major and a minor issue, with the first being the seat mesh that sags A LOT to contour your butt, which may or may not make your crotch and legs uncomfortable(sinks down so your legs will squeeze towards the middle aera). and a second issue that I find is, although the backrest is redesigned to achieve the goal of making your back in full contact, as a "tall user" I can say, the height might still not be enough to give support to the whole back. and this to me, feels to be more pronounced if you have one of the lumbar support mechanisms HM designed for this chair, namely "postureFit SL", because it does not apply enough force on your lumbar(it is a single piece with two pads that simultaneously press on your sacrum and lumbar, but the pressure given by the later is very subtle). I felt hunched in this chair with my balls squeezed, to conclude.

Tried both, and like Cosm more.

It could work really well, although you might prefer the Embody. Best to always try these chairs out, before you buy.

Thanks for commenting Mwin317! In my experience, I’ve found the chair to be incredibly quiet. Even the wheels on my tile floor are quieter than I thought they would be. Adjusting the height is also a near silent process. In terms of recline, I haven’t heard any weird noises. My chair is silent when reclining fully. Perhaps those people are forcing it back instead of sitting back into it slowly? In my opinion, I’d say the Cosm is a very well built and an extremely quiet chair - something I adore about it - and I would say it is more than good enough to use and adjust for someone who records audio for a living.

Very much so. Like I said, I had to save for it 💁🏼‍♂️ However, given how some gaming chairs can go for up to R12k, spending a bit more for an ergonomic one just makes better sense - even if I had to wait longer to get the funds 😅

That sucks, if they allow you to buy the chair and have the ability to return it for free, then I'd strongly recommend that approach.
