What do you think of this new collection from Hermes? I have to admit that for the price, I was expecting it to be better. But there are some good things and some okay things here, in my opinion.

Thanks Lexi for saving me the money. Some of the colors are appealing and I kinda of like the design of palette except I agree about the brush. But at this price point the product wear and texture should be superior and obviously it’s not. Hopefully others will drive home the point and they’ll do better next time. And quite frankly my wallet is happy since so much new makeup has come out recently.

Hi Lexi, thank you for your detailed, unbiased review. I think we all wished for more given the money and time you invested. You have far better e/s quads and the same for brushes and many of them were less expensive. I think people need to watch your review to really understand what they're investing in might not be what they get back if they have high expectations. Thank you as always. 😘♥️

I’ve seen so many content creators lately “loving” every single release from luxurious brands, as if they are the most amazing products ever… and being honest I don’t think I can’t trust their opinions anymore… I find it pretty impossible to don’t find defects on anything and you always stick to ur point and opinion… this is really appreciated! ❤

Hi Lexi! Thank you so much for investing in these new Hermès items. I was anxiously waiting for your review because I had seen several “glowing” reviews, and I was really tempted by #6. I have been following you since you started your channel, and I have come to rely on your thorough and honest reviews. So I never purchase any new makeup or new brush unless it has your seal of approval. This is one (more) example where waiting for your review has saved me disappointment (as well as money). I can dupe the #6 quad with PMG’s Venus in Fleurs and Valentino’s first flip eye palette - which are still among my favorites. I have not yet purchased any if the holiday collections - I am still on the fence regarding Chanel’s quint (which I will be able to see it IRL on Nov. 3, when the collection launches at retailers in Canada) and Tom Ford’s quad (which is only available online). In any case, I thank you VERY much for this thorough review and your honest opinion about all these items. BTW, love the eye look you have on in this video - though I am sure you have many dupes for it.

I’ve watched half a dozen reviews for this collection.The palette that has the best formula is the gold / eggplant one according to the other luxury beauty creators. The looks being created are just stunning. The matte shades on that palette blend together beautifully.

I love the Ombres Mordorees palette. It's the one with burgundy and the gold shimmer. My eyes are hazel and those two colors really make them pop. Also, I don't own anything else like it for the color story.

These eye palettes are so unique and wild for Hermes and they definitely went out of their comfort zone with the color stories so I applaud them for that along with their packaging. Yes, I understand. Athough to my knowledge they have made changes there so regulations are more strict and she has more control over her operation. I don't know much about it though and it's always hard to find accurate information on these topics imo.

You just saved me a lot of money. Was planning to purchase 3 of these hermes eyeshadows. I could tell from your swatches and feedback they were mediocre at best. I will be investing in a couple chanel palettes and feel very good about that❤❤❤

Hi Lexi I love the mascara on you and I will probably pick up the same shade. I really like the blue YSL mascara I bought after watching you introduce it. However I only use it as a final layer after my regular black mascara. For me, the colour still shows up enough to make it worth it to buy and use. Seeing the Hermes formula, it's definitely very natural looking. Usually I wouldn't love that, but it will be perfect to use as a topper. Also, I like the brush because I can see it will be easier to hit all the lashes.

Thank you Lexi! That was a lot spent especially with the brushes. Thank goodness you got 20% off. I got the Ombré Fumees palette and I had no issues and wore all four shades in a look that lasted all day. I was surprised at the size. I love the shapes, but expected the highlighter size package instead of the blush size!!!! I want to try the mascara now.🙃

Thank you for the review! I was most interested in the #3 quad and am still on the fence about it. This is probably weird but I’m most excited about the eyelash curler coming out. It’s one presale at Bergdorf’s and Neiman Marcus and I’m thinking of getting it. The best curler I ever had was the limited edition Chanel one in black.

Thank you Lexi for another fantastic review. I had been planning to purchase #3 (with the orange/coral pop of colour) but I’m now thinking of duping the colour story with what I already have in my collection and saving my $ for something else. The mascara looks beautiful but at $110 AUD I would find it too hard to part with after the 3 month recommended period after opening. I would prefer to buy a less expensive mascara and replace it more frequently. (Although coloured mascaras are hard to find). Thank you again for your unbiased and thorough reviews. I picked up the Grey, Green, and Blue quads and then went back for the Maroon and the purple mascara. So far, only the Maroon has arrived. I had a problem with my Hermes package, which I didn’t realize would require a signature. Hopefully, it will arrive on Monday. I think they are so beautiful. I double prime my lids, which seems to address my oily eyelids so I never have creasing with any shadows anymore.

I love the green shadow on you but what you said really resonated with me regarding the formula. In my opinion, it's shocking that Hermes would be willing to put out a product like that which is such a fail. I remember feeling frustrated by the way the LE palettes worked for me when I bought them all at launch last year. I can't imagine paying twice the price for a little Hermes quad and getting that super basic formula. It's good you only purchased two.

Lexi, I’m glad you reviewed the Hermes eyeshadows. I’m disappointed they are not great I really wanted them to be. I was going to buy one to try but I guess I can save my money thanks to you. I’m surprised the formula is not great being the blush, bronzer & highlighter did well. And the eye brushes look very nice but not at that price when you have Sonia G & Rephr. Hi Lexi, Here we go! 😁First negative review about Hermes eyeshadow palettes.:)) I have 06 and is very beautiful and pigmented. I like the packaging, colour story and formula and I will buy 2 or 3 more for sure. I tried them in store on my eyelids, so is not about the influencers opinion. Of course I’m not happy with the cost but the refill will be almost half price. I like luminosity on my eyelids and Byredo, Prada or some quints from TF are too dark for me, The lighter colours are skin like colour for me or very close. I’ll buy the Hermes black mascara as well. I tried it in store and is beautiful plus I removed it just with warm water. I’ll skip the brushes. They look very nice but I love the quality and the price of my Sonia G brushes. I'm sorry that you're disappointed and spent your money on something that didn't work for you. Thanks for review! 🙂

I so appreciate your honest review. Other reviews I’ve watched we’re opposite of yours, but I wonder if the fact that it is a Hermes product skewed the influencer’s opinion a bit. For this price I could by an ND or YSL and be much happier.

G'Day Lexi, Thanks for spending your hard earned money on these products. I thought your green eye look with the purple mascara looked very nice. I think the coloured mascaras you've been showing us lately look very stylish. It's a nice change from black the majority of us use. However it's a "no" from me for all the collection. The little spoolie looks as if it will come in handy. The cost of these palettes here in Australia is $175 AUD ! It's the middle of the night here for anyone who's interested.

This is my current favorite angled eyeliner brush. The rephr 23 is a completely different shape so I like them both for different reasons but for a thin, precise line, the Hermes is best. I am not great with wings and this is the brush for that!

Thanks so much for this! I feel like it was just for me LOL. At last someone chose the coloured mascara, I am so thankful that you did. I loved the green Veg. quad with the purple mascara on you, beautiful combo, it really worked.. ITA, H should have made the brush integral to the eyeshadow design, Hermes was just being really lazy. Reviews have been so far, so mixed on the palettes,, and I am very happy for yours. I can't get exited for the eyeshadows, not even the green - I don't need another palette and the green remind me of an old Joe Blasco single. Your review proves they're not must haves, but I may get 3 of the coloured mascaras (red/green/purple) and 3 of the brushes. I think it's easier to find nice Kunomofude shader brushes anyway, that you didn't rate it highly crosses it off my list as I'm happy with the few shaders I have already. I will prob additionally buy the blusher brush you reviewed a while ago to pick-ip G Meteorites in the Rosy - better a tasteful pink handle than barbie pink bristles 😀

Thank you! The Prada green palette I think is much better. I remember Joe Blasco! I haven't heard that name in a long time! I ordered a few other Hermes brushes so will have more soon. I wanted to try the candle shape one they came out with a little while ago. The Guerlain meteorites brush isn't great so the Hermes is definitely a better choice imo.

That green quad is really pretty I didn't like it at all untill I saw you put it on . I would have chose one of the neutral ones the Femme or the other with the maroon and neutral but if I was to get one it would be the green now . I appreciate that u got that one cause everyone else seem to have got the 2 neutral ones. I don't know if I am sold on it or not for the 100$ though their is just so much good stuff out and coming out that I want I think I'll wait abit sense they are permanent. I think I would buy the CDP quad before this one. I still hate the circle and squares it throws me off and my ocd is not accepting it and so much wasted space . Great thorough review as always Lexi !! LOL I just bought the Chanel Tisse Rivoli and the new ND zenon so I guess don't need the femme quad at all..lol 😂

Hi dear Lexi, thanks for another very good and very honest video!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩I purchased that brown with burgundy and gold type of quad, the Ombres Mordorées, just received it, no makeup today, will try later, but swatched, i can tell you, only 3 colours swatch good, the brown with a bit of a hint of khaki does not. I find that quite somthing for an € 104 eyeshadow quad! And when you tell about these brushes, what a shame, really! I must say, when blending the other 3 shadows on my hand, it reminds of the Fire Rose colours from CT, but than less crumbly, really nice. But for so much money i want to see ALL shades work, Lexi. Thanks again, have a wonderful day!!!😘😘😘😘

Hi Lexi, Thank you for the review. Regarding the spoolie brush, do you think it is better than a spoolie brush from another brand? What is better about it? Since I use a spoolie brush every day, I am considering purchasing if it really is better.

It's a bit firmer than the others I have so I really like that aspect. I would say it is most like the Gucci pencil spoolie but a bit skinnier. It's better than the others I have because of the firmness but I don't have a ton of other options so you might already have something equivalent in your collection.

I really appreciate your very thorough reviews. I haven't been able to watch this video in its entirety yet, but plan to. But I wanted to know what you thought about the angled eyeliner brush as I have yet to find one that I am completely satisfied with. So I did watch that portion of the video thus far. I do own a Smith angled eyeliner brush, but it's not the one that you compared the Hermes brush to; I have the 203 brush and it's quite tiny, smaller than the Smith brush you showed. I bought it on Beautylish. I know that you are familiar with the BK 208 brush which is also very tiny, but in a different way than my Smith 203. I find that the problem with many of these brushes is that they don't always hold on to the shadow pigment very well when using the shadow dry rather than dampening the brush first. And of course it's not good if the bristles are too thick. It seems that the Hermes brush is narrow enough, but do you think it's worth the $84 price tag ? Or put another way, do you think it is really that good? I think that it's too expensive, but if I found a brush that was really good for lining my eyes with eyeshadow, I'd seriously consider the splurge. I'm always interested in what you have to say about eyelining, whether it be the latest Lisa Eldridge liners or the latest liner brush. You make everything super clear and your opinions are well thought out. Thanks.

I agree, this is a nice brush but I wouldn't spend $84 on it. If you can get it on sale, then it would be worth it if you will use it a lot. I think this is a nice brush but you aren't getting a lot for the money. I'm very curious about the new Lisa Eldridge lip brush though. Thank you so much!

I should have waited for your review! I went ahead and ordered an Hermes quad - the one with the bright pink. Sounds like the formula is disappointing. Glad I only ordered one. I still use Clair Obscur! Sometimes you just want a matte. No interest in the Hermes brushes - I have a pretty big collection of Sonia G and Rephr that meet my needs. Thanks so much for this in depth analysis! ❤

Let me know what you thing of it Maureen. It sounds like most people really love them. I don't think they are bad but I just expected more for this price range. Clair Obscur is better imo. The Sonia G and Rephr brushes are definitely better quality than the Hermes imo.

@@LexiJong Actually, I didn’t like my quad at all. The quality of the shadows was NOT what I expected. For me, too dry and not as easy to blend as other luxury eye shadows. I won’t be using this quad again. (I ordered the one with the bright pink.)

I can't find any information on the hair type on the spoolie but it feels a little stiffer than my other spoolies so I'm wondering if it is a blend of a coarse natural hair and synthetic fibers. When I try to isolate the fibers, they look synthetic though.

The green shadow looks good on you. I definitely won’t buy this Pallets because they are not as extraordinary good as they should for the price and the case even looks rather cheap.

i’m so sorry to say this but why do they swatch like colourpop? granted i’ve only had one colourpop palette after hearing the hype but i can’t believe these palettes are supposed to be luxury makeup. gonna stick with my wet dry tom fords, old formula diors, and certain chanel palettes.

Hi Lexi hmm so you didnt like too much Hermes quads? I was looking through the color stories, and the only one i really liked is i think 6 , the one, that has reddish, gold and silver. It does feel like can go with fall and holiday themes🤔 i lve Prada, but not so for holiday🤪 So speaking of brushes, i was looking for buffer one. I do have Sonia g buffer one, but my skin is way too sensitive for it. I was looking at Chantecaille blurring brush? Is that good for buffing? And is that would be softer? Have a blessed day🙏❤️

I think that quad looks like it's probably the best one. If you want a super soft buffer, go with the Chikuhodo FO-2. It's smaller but probably the softest out there! The Chantecaille isn't much softer than the Sonia G smooth buffer imo but it is a little softer.

I also hate the circle square set up. Makes for less product and so much empty use of space. I totally agree with the practicality of the package design. Whomever designed it needs to go back to the drawing board. I don’t mind spending $103 for a luxury palette but even Tom Ford gives me more product with practical package design.Every review I’ve seen have looks that look pretty but the shadows are just mediocre and can be achieved with other palettes. While I am never shy about purchasing luxury beauty just because of packaging this release doesn’t really excite me.
