Hey everyone, I thought it was time to get back to my decluttering journey, so here's what happened with the pile of clutter in my dining room and some other tidying and decluttering I did recently! 💖

One of my favorite new saying is "A done SOMETHING is better than a perfect NOTHING!" It's cheesy but progress, however small, is awesome and inspirational!!! You rock!

As beautiful as that big buffet is, it doesn't seem like there's really the adequate amount of space in there for it. It could make such a difference in the room without it. It would seem bigger, lighter and much easy to maneuver around. You do a great job with the whole house though! Would love to see an overall walk through of how the whole place has come along :)

Not to sound mean, but I feel like you have too much furniture, and it’s a bit bulky for your spaces. In my experience, you don’t need a lot of furniture, bins or baskets, if you just declutter a bit. I stopped buying so much stuff, or at least sell a few things before I bring in new items.

I finally got rid of 90% of the decluttered stuff I had filling up the hallway :) managed to squeeze it into the car and donated to the rspca charity shop. Feels so much better! Xx Well done Hermione! Xx

Thank you for sharing. My house is a wreck for various reasons mainly health and mental health issues. But watching your declutter shows how normal it is and some tips for me to try and incorporate with my plans formed with my physiologist. Thhank you for being brave and sharing.

Absolutely! I have a lot of my mothers things after she died, and my kids stuff after they moved out, as well as charity shop finds I got to upcycle, etc. I am currently trying to get minimalist and really start 'no waste' living..I know in my heart that I need to do it, and even with fibro, and stressed to hell, I'm ready!!

The toy at 13:00 reminded me of the episode of Friends where Monica's dad uses her boxes to protect the Porche and all her childhood belongings are ruined and when she's going through the boxes she thinks she finds a toy but actually it's a rat and she rubs it all over her face lmao

You are a beautiful and charming young lady...I have watched your videos for a very long time...I realized today that you may be or possibly are a closeted hoarder!🤫🙃🙂I fortunately know what that looks like and had to make a couple of changes in my life!👍🏻I gave myself the 3 year rule instead of one year...if I haven’t used it wore it or it’s been boxed up it had to find another home 🚗!😊You have done so well with your home you should be proud!👍🏻 Good luck 🍀 be safe and take care!👍🏻♥️😊

A spending ban might be a good idea.... you can’t declutter what you don’t buy in the first place! It is how I cured my clothes habit. Why have you got all of the stuff you have in the first few minutes!?! X

Yes, it's looking passed the amount of stuff, and just DO It! 😁 I listen to Audible books (I don't watch TV), and I just bought 'Spark Joy', so I really do not have any excuses to procrastinate any longer!

I can see this is a couple of months ago. I have been binging on diy ERs,decluttering and scrubdowns. Great therapy,oh One of Great Courage,for me who is in the middle of a pile after long health issues. You have given me the push to nibble on and gorge on my own organizing. With such grace you tackle the lumpies in life without sniveling, grousing or whingeing. Bless you.

I am in the process of getting rid of most of my crap, as, like yourself, I buy stuff to upcycle, resize, etc, and it gets out of hand! It's so stressful; my anxiety is hitting the ceiling, and my stomach aches when I see the amount of clothing and stuff that I've kept from my children for sentimental reasons, but really, REALLY need to donate, etc. I HAVE to look passed the emotional side, and just do it, because I do know I'll feel better after!! I know I'm ready, because the things no longer 'spark joy', lol, and just make me feel claustrophobic and 'heavy'! So, thank you for showing us your stuff, it makes me feel I can do this!!! ❤️

As a renter and having to move often the extra stuff give me anxiety! Even an extra spoon. I am alwaaays decluttering.

Hey Hermione :) maybe you should read about "less waste"? It's not only about being eco, but also on how live minimal life. I mean, who doesn't love shopping? :) I love it too! But after reading good few articles about less waste/zero waste I try to buy things I really need and that won't be single-use items. People give amazing tips on how to buy good quality stuff that you'll use for years, instead of buying crap you don't need. Less stuff you own = less waste = less time spent on tydying :) Take care :)

Finally, the diningroom!! Well done. Looks really nice!! I did a huge declutter two years ago. Drived 12-times to the charityshop. Oeps.... Now it's going much better. Almost no clutter. Only clothing from the kids and me. And only when the kids grow to big. So it won't be that extreme for you anymore. (I hope😉) Thank you for charing everything! I enjoyed it very much!!!!

I feel your pain. Clutter seems to multiply and it steals my joy. I have been on a clutter free journey and yes it is stressful but so worth it in the end.

OMG 🤯. To me clutter is just having one or two things that don't belong and I start stressing about it. When just one thing out of place I almost go nuts. That much clutter I would be on my death bed 🙈

I hope you feel better soon. I too have a lot of piles of stuff. Its difficult to start and stay focused. I seem to shift stuff from one room to the other. I think about having a garage sale. Then take a nap. zzzz oh well I'm sure I'll get to it some time. I have however, slowed down the buying process. :) Take care!

Literally way too much furniture and way too much stuff in general. Get rid of it all!!! You’ll feel SO much better, your house will look SO much better and somebody who actually needs it will benefit from it.

I think it is cool that you are authentic and not trying to fake the *influencer* aesthetic. To keep yourself from getting overwhelmed and having such an abundance of excess, you should do just one project at a time. Dont buy anything for other projects until you have the first complete.
