The speedrun category Cub was running is actually 1.17+ (and he was running on 1.17) so the 1.19 update didn't actually give him a boost on that one.

Excuse me?! Please don't take the credit from the amazing achievement Cub just did. You made it sound like he used the update to his advantage but nothing is further from the truth. He beat the record in the 1.17+ category (but that doesn't mean he played the 1.19, he did the run in the 1.17.1 version of the game. The category is in fact not fresh and is pretty competitive since it has been being played since the 1.17 update). And he didn't just beat it, he DEMOLISHED IT by more than 3 minutes!! (that in the world of Speedrunning is A LOT) This is a great achievement that means so much to Cub, since he has been grinding this category a lot, so please, don't take his value away saying it was achieved just because the category is "fresh and not as competitive". Cub is a real speedrunner

Finally, reading Cask of Amontillado actually paid off.

If Doc had been there for the sacrificing of diamonds, Ren would have had to quickly put together an overflow chest because he would have easily doubled the server's stash. I really want to see just how many diamonds he has in stock still

the “cask of amontillado” reference with etho and bdubs’ warden is even better with how joe narrated that exact story on stream on his birthday this week!

Considering Ren just imposed a monthly tribute, I think that first clip will soon become ironic.

I can't believe Cub set a WORLD record, when all ren intended was a minigame record or music disc record.... Then again, he was kinda salty about the record being beat, so he had to re-establish his dominance... it's gonna be a serious feat for someone to get a sub-12 run and beat him.

10:05 I made that farm on our community server as well after seeing the video ianxofour made. Modified it a bit, and it grinds the entire server to a hault in 10 minutes if I don't pay attention, mostly client side... Had to modify it a bit to save the server and to keep my game from crashing but still.... Its incredibly efficient...!
