How I collect anole eggs 🥚 here’s a sneak peak into the process I go thru about every 3-4 weeks in my adult lizard cages. I collect the eggs because sometimes parameters like temp and humidity aren’t as ideal as they can be, feeder insects can destroy the eggs, or even if the babies make it to hatch I may not notice their tiny selves in time to get them the appropriate size food they need. Sometimes they can even become food for the parents, though most smaller anole species leave their babies alone. Regardless, this is just 1 of several dozen cages to go through and the egg collecting days can be long but always rewarding.
