Hi-point JHP, 150 round review!!

5 жыл бұрынHere I show and shoot the hi-point model JHP in .45 acp. After 150 rounds through the gun straight out of the box, I have had zero malfunctions of any kind from this pistol, the sights are right on from the factory and the gun has performed flawlessly!!

Other than being Butt Ugly, the only problem I ever had with the Hi Point is the trigger has that small space Under the front that catches my finger or glove and hangs me up. Other than that NO ISSUES and I have had 2 and my son one. No Breaks or fails. They are Excellent for a Truck or Car firearm. AND THE LIFETIME WARRANTY IS SAYING A LOT ABOUT THE COMPANY.

I'm in my mid 40's now and I have never owned a HiPoint pistol. I have shot them but never owned one. Now I have owned several of their carbines over the years and have had good luck with them. I think maybe it's time I get one of these pistols just to put through it's paces and give it a fair evaluation. Good to see you back at the Magnum Range!

Thanks man, I ain’t out of the woods yet, but I’ll take a little shooting here and there when I can do it! I have always heard good things about their carbines and handguns. I think you’ll like the functionality they offer for the price. They are ugly and clunky, but the bowling pins didn’t seem to notice!!

nice video. i have one and it rocks. All day....and night. Dont think trigger is as good as a glock but I really like it and it's a good trigger in my opinion. I really like it and if your thinking about getting one watching this I would go for it.

I use a pistol belt with a tack holster for my HP 45 For the pe price it's a great gun

You have a new subscriber. I just subscribed to your channel. I appreciate the positive, impartial, and precise review of what I believe to be one of the best gun buys anywhere! The Highpoint has been maligned by people who are either ignorant of the facts, or filled with venom and ill intent. No firearm, whether it cost $150 or $15,000 is perfect in every detail, but I do believe the Highpoint pistols are in general terms, dollar for dollar, comparable to others that are more expensive. I have owned several and have never has an issue with any of them! Again thanks for your open-minded approach to your review.

I borrowed a HiPoint 9 from a former student and ran it through it's paces for a couple of weeks. It was very accurate. More so than the S&W SD9 VE I ran it against. I've also shot the 45. Another beyond accurate gun. My take is that if you need a gun for home defense and a HiPoint is all you can afford - get one and learn to shoot it well.

I have several pistols.. my c9 and glock 19x are close on my opinion.. trigger is better on glock and maybe a tad less recoil.. both have been 100% reliable and accurate.. I also have the sd9ve.. not a bad gun but for an extra 200 or 400 I think the hi point is a steal so far.. I fell in love with shooting it after about 1 mag.. and why everyone says for the money its good.. I just think so far it's a good gun period.. I'll be buying more hi points for sure.. I enjoy your videos as well

@@ihatefords1000 I do believe the topic was accuracy not comparing Hi-Point material quality or aesthetics with S&W. But you bring your S&W 45auto and I'll bring my JHP 45auto and I'll either equal or out shoot you from standard defensive ranges. Clover leaf grouper Useful IS as useful DOES. I have a c9 and a glock 19x.. guess what they are very close.. glock has better trigger feel and maybe a tad less recoil.. that's it.. is it worth the extra 400.. not to me but I'm keeping it.. I like the c9 a little better than the sd9ve.. just feels better shooting and sd9ve trigger is more vague than hi point.. call me a liar.. lol.. but those are my thoughts on the pistols

Nope, this was straight out of the box! No cleaning at all and after 150 rounds! I have been really impressed with this guns shoot-ability! It’s in no way practical to carry, but for plinking and or home defense it’s serviceable if it’s what you can afford!! 👍🏻

I had one in .45 a while back, I didn't care for it so I traded it off, it just seems bulky or something.

Had nothing but success with this one so far, will be doing a take-down video soon...if you buy one and make sure it runs reliably, they make a very affordable nightstand gun! Thanks for watching!

Yep regardless how ugly and heavy they are ... I've never seen a hipoint fail like soooooo many gun fanboys claim because it's a cheap gun. 2 buddies got their hipoints same day as another got his " $1800 Custom Kimber Elite " both hipoints ran flawless .... the Kimber broke on the 1st mag !!! 🤣🤣🤣 we howled at him !!!!

@@TheMagnumChannel Kimber wouldn't fix or put a warranty on it either because he had some custom engraving done to the slide in their custom shop ! I told him he coulda bought 10 hipoints for that 1 broken Kimber 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I thought he was gonna throw it at me !
