Hey Mike - congrats. Glad this video is still helping people. I wanted to do one on the X260 but with lockdown and Ali not shipping here, it was futile. Now I might have to do one on the X250 again when flights resume as there are a few new items added to their list.

Suggest high on the list should be front window wind defectors, If you need to drop a front window in the rain it drips straight on to window switches on the door pull. With window wind defectors any water drips down the outside of the door.

I bought the sports badge on Ali Express but to fit was a nightmare as you had to take the bumper and grill off - way to much hassle. Solution - attach the bolts to the badge then wrap with gaffer or electrical tape and just wedge through the front grill - its been in place for 4 months now and looks fab.. the proper one from Jaguar is £45..

graham luke Thanks for the suggestion Graham. My badge is getting a bit stone pitted now and I'll have to replace it, probably also with an S badge. I like you suggestion and will definitely do it 🤙👍

You are right. I get quoted $100 to ship something to South Africa that only costs $10. Ludicrous!

Thank you for your videos. I bought my 2009 XF 3.0D a week ago and have learned alot from you and have just ordered 4 things from AliExpress. Have you looked into the obd headsup displays that are available on ebay? Interested to know your thoughts

what do you use as a phone holder???? must cars use air vents are a screen one (i dont want that for xf)

You make a good point Martin. We can't use our vents for phone holders. I use the first cupholder in the center console and it works perfectly for when I use Google Maps - but it's too low and very distracting. If I replace my head unit later this year with an Android one, that will take care of that problem. This Covid thing is really putting a spanner in the spokes for me as it's retarding my progress of what I'd like to do with my XFR. But changing that OEM system for an Android one is high on my list of priorities.
