@@UKLegalCarryKnives Here's a question for you.... Hinderer or Suru? Thinking of treating myself. I'm a leftie so neither are perfect but atleast I can blank off the Hinderer. Is it £130 more worth of knife though?

@@kaneEvro the hinderer is much more useful, the Suru has too much belly imo although it is very pretty, that said, it's a lot extra, I say go Hinderer, return for a Suru if it doesn't suit, HH will humour that!

Did the same on my vintage xm slippy, the pivots on these are rough to do anything with. I'll get back to you with the scales although some of the newer models have torx size 6 bits for removing the scales

@@UKLegalCarryKnives Thanks for that, one size down from what I own. I wish they had used T6 - I have lots of those. I can't believe they used enough red Loctite to strip the head but it didn't stop the pivot coming loose to get side play. Let's see if some heat can fix that. I'm looking forward to what you make me buy from HH next!

I used for the pivot 1/16th" for the body screws 1/20th" and for the scales 1.3mm Allen wrenches.

Looks like they managed to change the colour of the hardware to match the theme for the vintage, unlike the silver screws on the black DLC! :-)

Did you get it from HH, if so contact them, that's a defect it shouldn't be that way at all, if not try Hinderer themselves

@@UKLegalCarryKnives yeah I did will contact them, but my worry is because I've sharpened it somewhat now it wont be covered, I should of contacted them straight away before I touched it really but thought it would be okay but it just really wouldn't take and edge great either. Tried on kme and then when that wouldn't cut it the Ken onion WS

@@halfbaked3373 the 20cv is no joke, Hinderer definitely heat treats it well, i remember sharpening mine the first time, took forever, it did eventually get sharp though

@@UKLegalCarryKnives I'm not sure if its even that tbf, last week I took my manix lw maxmet from 20 dps to 15dps no problems on the kme, unless I want to apex this at like 25dps I'm gonna have to grind away a good bit of the blade to get to 20 and probably thin it out because it's so thick now and that would ruin the astetics, dumped all my spending money on it this month nd all. I got the bomer wasabi at the same time and I actually prefer it at 1 fifth the price haha. Cant see this replacing my ukpk
