Who would you think of as the first published female writer? The answer is Christine de Pizan, a French woman who lived in the medieval period, and stood up for women by arguing against misogyny. In this documentary I cover her life, her writing, and why it was so important.

She was the first copywriter. Writing profoundly about the influences of women and the affects of war on all people.

She certainly provided a deeply intelligent debate from the side of women that wasn't being told at the time, not bad for someone who started out writing love poetry!
