Impressive model and great vid. I've picked up a few tips for larger models - even if they're not quite so magnificent as your Smaug, there.

Is this a better model than the Forgeworld Emperor Fire Dragon in your opinion?

You should make a video on the collection we kind of see at the beginning of the video.

just ordered mine yesterday - I'm thinking about increasing the angle on the tail and straightening it. Do you think the resin in the tail will bend with very hot water, OR would i need to cut and resculpt it, etc? (not 100% straight ; basically as it is now, but without coming back around beside the torso)

Hi, I just recently got Smaug, and have been watching your videos. One question I have is, what size magnets did you use? I'm planning to magnetise his neck, wings and tail for transport purposes. I would be very grateful if you could help me. Thank you.

Did you ever figure out what magnets to use?

Have you ever tried working with the Vallejo plastic putty? I'd be curious to see whether it was better than the liquid green stuff.
@MrWatchingpaintdry4 жыл бұрын
I have the Vallejo plastic putty and I can't say that I really like it. I think I prefer greenstuff because it thins easily with water. Neither is great though, I find that there's shrinkage and seams are still visible with both.

Does somebody have experience with the washing part of resen ? I use dreft but it keeps being oily . PleAse help me i want to do my first forgeworld model :)

YouNasty HD, I use Dawn dish soap as it cuts the oil shine off and I’ve had no issues with models being oily.

I use LA's awesome orange or you can use simple green to soak the parts in. Don't worry it won't hurt the miniature. Actually soak them in them for about a day and then I just scrubbed them off and hot water.
