Life hack for lost tools for people with ADHD: buy a new one and the old one will immediately reappear like magic. And then you have a spare! That you will never find when you need it Actual thing that helps me: whenever you put something away, first think, "I should put this somewhere smart". When you later try to find it, think "If I was smart, where would I have put this?" Usually that leads me to the correct location much faster

I loved the guy in the background when you walked into Costco! You made his day as he had the biggest smile. My hubby and daughter both have ADHD. My hubby is a bit more ADHDer. 😊 Before he leaves the house, I gladly do his 'leaving the house checklist' with him- glasses, cell, wallet, keys and list. Its my little way to help him because he does so much more for his disabled wife. ADHD is his super power, too!

I bet in reality, your daughter is 'MORE ADHD' than your hubby. As a 54 year old woman who was diagnosed at 49, I'm way more ADHD than my son who was diagnosed at 2 (and is now 22). Girls/women just hide it better to fit in. I learned so much about my ADHD as a woman and being so late in life diagnosed on Pinterest of all places! There is so much information (and you can do follow up info on your own to confirm what is being said) and many times I got the jist of my own ADHD and learned more about my son, from reading the comments. Guys are more outward with their ADHD and it's more acceptable for guys to have it. It's wonderful how you all can support each other in this. My husband has ADHD as well, but his is less of a problem in everyday life, but when it pops up, it really says hello loud and proud lol He's not judgmental of my squirrelly ADHD and I understand about his quiet crisis with his ADHD. Our son is just all over the board and I drive him bonkers with mine! LOL Kudos for all you do!

Seeing and relating to postings about ADHD has made me realize I just might have it. I've been dealing with so many of the symptoms my whole life that I can't ignore a possible self diagnosis. I no longer rely on handwritten lists though. I now put the lists on my phone's notebook. I also set alarms for EVERYTHING! When I'm out and about, an alarm will keep me on track. I give myself a set amount of time to do a specific chore. If the chore isn't done when the alarm goes off, I snooze it. Voila! Nothing forgotten! The alarm and notebook features have really helped me. Now I just need to remember to bring my phone!

Thank you! This may be why it takes me an hour to leave the house! I have to juggle kids, and a million things we all need, but i can't find a bunch of stuff. My car is now the diaper bag and my purse. It looks like it. It helps when you have a scatter brain personality. There are literally 3 diaper bags in the car, and a whole sleeve of diapers in the car, but not in any bags. And I was so bad in my younger years that i used to keep my wallet and my keys in my work shoes by the front door, so I didn't forget them on the way to work. During covid, my oldest daughter sat me down in front of a video about ADHD, and it absolutely explained my life. Im a gen xer. Most of us thought this was made up. Personally I might have cut myself a bit more slack if Ihad just understood what my problem was. I don't need a diagnosis. I don't need help. Im fine, but it is just a relief to know I'm not a complete mess because I am disorganized and so easily distracted.

Literally I deal with every last one of these things: - The going back inside 15 times and still forgetting something I had in the first place. - Going into a store and forgetting why I'm there. - The car. Oh Maing! I would probably trend this way if I didn't develop skills to control it! I think I'm ADHD but on the OCD side of it! So I obsessively make lists! I have specific places for the wallet keys this sort of thing! Since I am so visual I run a film 🎥 of myself in my head of going to the store and the items I need ping with me as I visually go down each Aisle Then because of OCD I double check my list at the exact same spot in the store! I think what has really helped me is that I worked as Ground crew for the Airlines which is actually good for OCD because I had certain tasks that I had to do in a certain order every day every time! The only issue here is that sometimes I get so caught up in process that I push aside stuff that I like to do like sing and work on Vocal Training! Great video 📷! Oh and are you sure you didn't leave that stalk of Broccoli 🥦 in the Electronics Aisle at Costco? Just teasing!

OMG, Penn, I can totally relate because I am borderline ADHD myself and always had to make physical lists for shopping, even if it was just for a few items and then, if I had other errands like you were trying to show, it was a whole big deal… It took me forever to take my wife suggestion and use the Notes app on my iPhone 😂 and has been already said above, that woman in the back at the end of the video totally did not know what the hell was going on and her face was priceless!! 😂

Loved the trip through Costco. A better strategy is to go have the hotdog first. Go in the exit for hotdog. We all know you're gonna eat a hot dog. Go through the checkout lanes to the eggs. Miss the electronics. Have hot dogs before the eggs are out of the fridge. Pay for eggs and leave. BTW, Wegmans has a better price for eggs and milk?

Parking.. a ADHD will drive around for 14 minutes at Costco, looking for that Perfect Spot... and then waiting in the lane for a possible person to come out to the car to leave. I, semi-ADHD.. I just part far away and walk in...

OMG, so well done (as always). LITERALLY just ran my boyfriend’s cell phone through the wash the other day after he HANDED me his pants and I failed to do a proper pocket check. Luckily no panic to Verizon for a new cell phone (this time) - it was waterproof enough and came out at 33%!! Almost every one of these scenarios has happened - or something like it - and he’s even on medication!! Kim - we love them dearly, but the struggle is real. I feel so validated because people never believe me, lol ❤

I kept laughing at that lady who kept looking at him in Costco. And why didn't you keep the dropping of the eggs in? That would have been hilarious!
