Love this. The Murder of Roger Ackroyd is also my Christie favourite. I absolutely love the eclectic nature of your reading.

I really want to re-read it now that I know the ending. Thanks! I get bored staying in one genre too long.

Ahhh you even have the hat! It is basically impossible to do a tag without mentioning Pratchett, his work always fits perfectly somewhere in my experience.

I'm glad you liked the tag! I have read the Two Faces of January by Highsmith which I had mixed feelings about but am interested in trying Ripley at some point.

I am interested to try more by her for sure, I've not heard an awful lot about her other books.

Brilliant thumbnail!! I've never read Terry Pratchett, or shamefully, Holmes!! Where should I start with Holmes, or doesn't it matter? I love a film or TV adaptation. I bought the assassin's apprentice recently, so about to start that series. The Kurt Vonnegut book sounds interesting, but I hated slaughterhouse give, so I guess that puts me off!

Vonnegut has a distinct style which could be annoying. I think The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes is technically the place to start. Definitely give Pratchett a go, he is a British institution!

Great choices! I still have 14 books left to read in Elderlings, looking forward to them. I’m tempted to take part in this tag myself, if I can find the energy to record soon.

Ah I am terrible at tagging but I sort of tag you now, you should do it! My advise for Elderlings is don't skip any of them, they all tie together at the end even if they seem unrelated at the time.

@@AaronReadABook If I manage to do the video, I’ll give you credit for tagging me then. Oh I definitely wasn’t planning on skipping any Elderlings, I got the impression they were worth reading fully and in order. (I’m scrupulously avoiding spoilers too.)

I’ve only read a few Terry Pratchet, also when I was young and just remember laughing a lot - in an good way- and The Murder of Roger Ackroyd is the only Christie I’ve read although I think I’ve watched every adaptation ever made! I can’t remember if you’re team Poirot or team Marple Aaron 🤔

I don't know yet, I'm pretty sure Poirot, but I've only read two Marples I think. Pratchett is great as an adult as you get all the references now!
