For beginning canners, just an FYI. Linda had at least 2 open top pint jars in the canner with water to take up space. Minimum canner requirements is to process 4 pints or 2 quarts. Since she only had 3 pints of spinach the additional jars met the canning requirement.

Great Video Linda! I am very happy that you have posted this. I love Swiss chard. We live in a zone 2 so we are lucky if we can eat it fresh for maybe 3 months. I gorge myself on it LOL I have always wondered though how would you serve it? Heat it up in its juices? Serve with a bit of butter? I am curious to know how you serve it. 😁 again thank you! I will definitely be canning Swiss Chard this fall! 💛

I hope you do it’s one of the easiest things to grow and it winters over beautifully for a spring harvest. I like it better than spinach and kale.

I hate running my canner with only a few jars, when I have extra space I add jars with beans to add on the shelf because they are quick to jar up and add to the canner !

Yeah, I’ve never used mine in the oven but I use them for dips and I have several of them and my grandson just bought me any 112-year-old antique but dish that I’m scared to use but it’s so beautiful and green. It’s gorgeous.
