Oh, the color turned out beautiful! I'm definitely going to try the beat juice. I'll use citric acid instead of lemon juice so I don't change the flavor, but even strawberry jam color would probably benefit from beet juice. I make low sugar jam so it tends to brown up over time.

When I was little we would cut off the top and the bottom of the stocks and wash it. Then we would have a cup of sugar and we would dip the stocks into the sugar and eat it like that raw. It is a wonder we didn't die.

My question is years ago when your daughter was going to move in with you short term, you showed a bedroom with a beautiful quilt set, do you remember where you got it or any info on it?
