This is what I like best about Home Free. Five of the world's best vocalists who are happy to spend an entire song as backup singers to let one of them shine as a soloist. This happened to be Austin's turn to solo, but I am sure he would - and has - done the same. And what a solo! What a performance by the entire group!

Yes ! I've been waiting for Austin's turn - I don't think he's had a solo since "meet in the middle" - with HF anyway - although I love Unchained Melody too. Best group ever.

Well said! What makes this group so amazing to me is that individually, they all have WORLD CLASS talents....all of them. Tim and Chance have voices of gold...and INSANE ranges. Rob has a velvet voice and whenever he’s had a lead has always blown me away. Austin...yeah, just wow. Remember, even Shawn Stockman during the Sing Off was blown away by his voice! Adam, not only is a top-notch, world class beat boxer, but has an amazing ear for harmonies whenever he’s called to sing. Each of them could more than hold their own if they were to be individual artists working on solo careers. But, collectively? I’m not sure there ever has been a group better than them...nor do I personally believe there ever will be! #1 in my books! What a collection of talent!

Wow! I never thought I'd put Percy Sledge, Michael Bolton and Home Free in the same compliment, but here I am. These guys did justice to both Sledge and Bolton, and I didn't think Bolton's could ever be topped.

I am a 67 year old grandmother raising my 15 year old autistic grandson when things get to much for me and I feel very overwhelmed I always tune in and watch your videos no matter what song u guys sing or which one of u are singing even as the whole group u just lift my spirits up and I feel I can do anything don't ever stop singing . My grandson is deaf and he loves it when I sign your songs for him in sign language. U guys are great thank u so much for making me and my grandson happy in our rough times.

I've always loved this song from the times I heard Percy Sledge sing it, I loved Michael Bolton's take on it, but I gotta tell you that there's a new sheriff in town now! Austin? Son, you done blowed everybody outta the water in this one! I'll bet the Jewel was absolutely loving it when you started singing and by the time you got near the end and began to crank out those high notes, she was absolutely in heaven! I've heard that Austin's lady was brought in for this session and she was sitting there as he sang. If that's the case, then she needs to be there every time he goes into the studio! Great job, guys! By the way, who do we have to thank for this arrangement? It was perfect!

Yes....the best. Percy Sledge had a great voice, but he couldn’t do these runs and vocal dynamics. Austin has a better harmony background with Home Free. Plus, Austin’s voice has such clarity......wow.

With a little help from his friends. To use a food analogy. For sure the dish has to be cooked to perfection, but the chef will tell you presentation is key as we eat with our eyes as well. Austin the well cooked meal and the harmonies and beat the presentation and garnish that brings it all together. Guess you can tell i've been listening to this for MANY hours

My jaw unhinged this was so good. Must admit this song was never a favourite, but THIS song?! Wow. Those last high notes from Austin rising 'out of' the harmony! Repeat. Adam, Chance, Rob and Tim providing the perfect frame for this performance. Home Free well done. I would listen to this for another ten years and not get bored. Man you guys are good

I was in WalMart yesterday and i was singing 'Hillbilly Bone' the guy behind me chimed in with a bass, and the cashier said, 'HOME FREE' - we all just started the song all over again! Best feeling knowing that HOME FREE made it allthe way to Central NJ!!

I’m in my 80’s also and I just discovered this fabulous group a few months ago and became obsessed with their music, their voices are like I’ve never heard! I can’t get enough, lol. My kids say I’m too old to have a crush on a “boy band” 😂. But they are taking me to see them in December 2023 in Charlotte, NC! So excited and it’s going to be hard to pass the time until then!

I lost my husband last year and this reminds me of how much he loved me. He told someone he kept hanging on because he didn't want me to be alone. We had a special love and made it thru many years of him being ill. Thank you.

Oh Pam! I can so relate. When we were young we would dance to this song as my brother delivered a great vocal with his garage band. We never knew what would come in later years. Now we struggle through renal failure but I am still blessed to have him here. He too refuses to leave me behind and remains. So sorry that was not your blessing. I send 💕 love to you in his absence. It's very possible that I too will be experiencing your pain and loss. In the interim, this song is most comforting. Shalom to you!

My husband died from Pancreatic cancer in 2006 and he said he didn’t think we could make it without him too. We are making it but not very good,we definitely had to make lots of changes and we were spoiled, things like we were used to just hoping in the cars and they were always gassed up and ready to go. Suddenly there was mountains of trash that needed taken out and groceries carried in and snow to get rid of and so many other chores that we took for granted. Oil changes gosh how does that get done because the oil light came on in the car. My husband didn’t sing or dance but he got up every morning at 6:00 am and rain or shine went to work to bring home that bacon and turned over those paychecks, he wasn’t terribly romantic either but he was faithful to me and always dependable. We do miss him a bunch. But we are just getting by. We had to be stronger and tougher than he thought we could be.
