For the first time ever, I will try to have my own garden at home! To begin, I'll plant some tomatoes in a pot, but I will eventually grow more and more, creating my very own vegetable garden! But I'm a beginner, so who know how it will turn out! 😅
I hope you want to follow along in my gardening journey! 🌱☺️

Hello Daniel. It's a great idea to grow your own vegetable garden, then you can be sure to know what you consume. Vegetables from the supermarket are not always the best choice, but of course I still buy them. You are such a kind hearted man and I wish you good luck in all your endeavours 🙏. Thank you for sharing, take care 🖐

Yes, it will feel very good knowing exactly how these vegetables has been handled, and I'm sure they will all taste way better than the veggies you buy in a store! I could already tell last year, with the rhubarb! It tasted soooo much better when I made a pie from the ones in the garden! 😍 Also, I really want to give you a huge, warm thank you! Your support means so much to me, and it will help me on my way to a beautiful garden! I'm sure I will need more pots and tools, something your kind donation will now help me get. So from the bottom of my heart; thank you, Anita! ❤️ And have a beautiful new week! 🤗

Can’t wait to see your progress as they grow! From your sister state of Minnesota, I thank you once again for such a calming presence in my daily life. In order for tomatoes to grow and have fruits, it is necessary to apply fertilizers to the soil and constantly water, a small greenhouse can be made on the windowsill, until the soil outside becomes warm, and then when it becomes warm, you can transplant it into greenhouses outside.

Als je dit doet komt het de plant ten goede en dit is maar een tip voorje. Trouwens het ziet er al wel goed uit en ik hoop niet voor je dat er schimmel op je tomatenplanten komen . Thank you for another enjoyable video 🌱The English name of the seed packets you showed were (as you mentioned you didn’t know the English word for each),: 1. green beans 2. I’m not sure of this one, but the picture looked like lettuce or maybe baby spinach 3. carrots 4. cabbage 5. leek 6. beetroot 7. broccoli At the start, and this is my thought only (as I’m no gardening expert), with the three pots you used (one black and two red) that maybe the tomato in the black pot grew faster because the colour black absorbs heat really well. The soil temperature in the black pot might have been more ideal (warmer) for germination compared to the seeds in the red pots. This may be why many germination containers are sold in black, to absorb heat for successful germination. Hope you get a good harvest of tomatoes over the coming weeks and months 🍅Look forward to seeing the construction of your green house over the course of 2024. This sounds like a good project. The ducks at the end were a delight to watch. How lucky you are to live so close to nature 🌳

Gardening is such a great way to enjoy nature and appreciate the rewards of your time and attention. Don't let it stress you out! Plants can be very resilient and there are so many resources for information online. There is a lot of trial and error with gardening that goes with the unpredictability of the plants and the weather. That's part of the fun 🙂 Looking forward to your greenhouse. One word of advice - think very carefully about its placement in relation to the sun to maximize any heat/shade benefits.

Morning Daniel--How wonderful that you started a little indoor garden🌱🍅next to your window! I was going to suggest you have an indoor garden to give you a taste of Spring. I have an indoor garden myself with flowers and ferns 🥀🌺🪴 although no veggies yet. It's fun to watch things grow, as well as therapeutic to plant and water them. Your tomato that you later replanted in the bigger pot looks really healthy. It must be due to all of your TLC as well as the reflected light from the snow. It's fun to see your other plants in their various stages of growth. It will be fun when you finally set up your greenhouse and transfer them all inside where you will have more space to grow them. Great video as always!! a tip for your tomatoes next time would be to let them grow for longer in your first pots. Not untill the roots start wanting to push down under the pot should you really replant it. As a bigger pot with much more soil than needed works but it slows down the proccess alot.

Hi Daniel. List of things to do this Spring and Summer: 1. Need to figure out of you can plumb a bathroom into the main house, (i.e. no traveling to poop and shower in deep Snow and Ice) 2. Veggie plants and flowers (i.e. your greenhouse) 3. Finding ways to warm the house further for next winter, along with the stove. (i.e. heating system or insulation) 4. making the house much more Winter prepared, based on this past winter's experience. (windows, doors, floors) and 5. Finding all the money to make this list materialize !! That's the key right ??

Hi! Yes, the last part about money is definitely the key, haha! Also, I'm hoping to maybe get my very own house eventually (since my parents own this one). So then I would need every penny for that! 😂 So I don't think much of what's on the needed list is actually going to happen, unfortunately... 😭

Hi Daniel! Great to see you experimenting with all the seeds. A tip for your tomato plants: if they start to bear the tomatoes it is handy to place sticks beside them and bind the plant to the sticks to support it otherwise it will collapse. Better still to place a wooden frame above the plant. Then you bind one end of a rope around the top of the plant and the other to the frame above so the plant will stay upright. And, as it is a vegetable with moisture in it, just like a cucumber, it needs regular watering. Another very healthy vegetable is kale. It grows with ease and the best moment to harvest it is after the first frost. Good luck and a lot of succes with your vegetable garden!

Oh, lockdown must have been so rough, mentally... We never really had a lockdown here, only recommendations. Oh wow. that is so exciting Daniel that you are planting some of your own vegetables. you sure look like you know what you are doing. did you find the info online or from other gardeners? did the 3 tomato plants from the beginning all survive? the one that grew the fastest...was that the one in the end? will be great to see the tomatoes come. for me too I love planting tomatoes. these are the only ones that worked in my garden...everything else did not.
@DanielErik

Hi there! Yes, those three tomatoes are still alive, so for! And actually became four, since I accidentally planted two seeds in one pot, haha! The one that grew the fastest was the one at the end, and it has grown even more now! I'm so excited! 😍
