4 ай бұрынIn this video I am showing you how I like to make my own black powder lube that will never go rancid or bad. this 45/45/10 mixture consists of beeswax, olive oil and bore butter. and also in a mold that will fit directly in your Lyman 4500 lube sizer! i hope you find something useful!

When I was making my own bullets I had a friend tell me to use wax rings for toilets from home depo and he was right about it they work great and are cheap give it a try

Have you ever considered trying to pour liquid lube directly into the Luber? Maybe I am missing something but I think this can be done but I am not sure. Only reason I may try this is that I have a Luber that is cleaned out and empty like when it was sold new.

if you are not completely empty it may work, however I feel that if you pour the liquid in on an empty press it may leak out all over the place, depending on how much is left. or melting existing lube inside press causing leakage. for a top up it will probably work fine.

Do you notice a difference between smokeless lube vs. black powder lube in say 45 colt? I’m using SPG just because they say it works for both

definitely notice a difference when shooting black powder for the black powder lube yes! can shoot longer, and easier to clean, however the .45 requires more lube then what the smokeless bullets offer volume wise in the groove. a wad helps too! thanks for watching

No worries at all, It is a press that you can lube and size your cast lead bullets in one stage. A lot faster than Lee liquid alox and a sizer die. Thanks for watching!

Am glad to stumble into your videos now I am inspired and hopeful to load my own black powder shots for my sxs Parkhurst shotgun. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.
