Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup baking powder
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup yeast
- 500 ml milk
- 1/4 cup dairy cream
Method:
1. Prepare the Batter:
- In a large bowl, add the yolks of 2 eggs.
- Add 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup butter, 1/4 cup baking powder, and 2 cups all-purpose flour.
- Gradually add 1/4 cup yeast and 500 ml milk, mixing slowly to combine all the ingredients.
2. Incorporate Egg Whites and Cream:
- Add the egg whites of the 2 eggs and 1/4 cup dairy cream to the mixture.
- Mix gently until the batter is smooth and well combined.
3. Prepare the Mold:
- Grease a cake mold thoroughly with oil.
- Line the mold with butter paper, ensuring it is well set.
4. Pour and Spread Batter:
- Pour the prepared batter into the mold.
- Spread it evenly to ensure a uniform cake.
5. Prepare the Cooking:
Preheat a non-stick pot on low heat.
- Place a stand inside the pot to hold the cake mold above the bottom.
6. Bake the Cake:
- Set the cake mold on the stand inside the preheated pot.
- Cover the pot with a lid, sealing any holes to keep the heat inside.
- Bake the cake on very low heat for about 40 minutes.
7. Check for Doneness:
- Periodically check the cake by inserting a stick into the center. When the stick comes out clean, the cake is ready.
8. Cool and Store:
- Carefully remove the cake from the mold and place it on a plate to cool to room temperature.
- Once cooled, cover the cake with a plastic wrap and refrigerate it to chill.
- Chilling improves the taste and texture of the cake.

My Mistakes in This Cake
Mistake No. 1: I added too much flour. Instead of using 2 cups of flour, I should have used 1 cup and an additional half cup.

Mistake No. 3: The biggest issue was the inconsistency in the heat. Initially, the low gas flame was beneficial, but as the cake neared completion, the flame increased, causing the cake to cook faster than expected. This prevented the cake from achieving the desired puffy texture, which was the main goal.
Tips for Avoiding These Mistakes:
- Use the correct amount of flour to ensure the batter has the right consistency.
- Always use full pieces of butter paper to properly line the mold, ensuring even coverage.
- Monitor the gas flame closely to maintain consistent heat. A fluctuating flame can cause uneven baking and affect the cake's texture.
