I strained my throat last June when, during a thunderstorm, I was watching TV, and an EAS alert went off, and hurt my ears (I have high functioning autism, and my ears are sensitive to very loud noises). I was screaming for what seemed to be five minutes while I called my mother on the phone, who comforted me through the call as my screams turned into inconsolable sobbing. Ten minutes later, I managed to suck it up and go about my night. Since the storm had still shaken me up, I had to sleep over at my parents' house that night. Needless to say, I was hoarse for days. It was like how Matthew Lillard screamed himself hoarse to have the perfect Shaggy voice for the Scooby-Doo films from 2002 and 2004.

The reason why he's screaming is because he saw the decomposed body of Smither's dad at the swimming hole. So the hypnotist made him remember that and it basically made him relive that repressed memory and everything came back to him.

This scene is fucking hilarious. People are way too critical of the Simpsons during it's middle years. There were some absolute classic episodes in seasons 10-15 and this is one of the best ever.

Most of the complaints come from the shift in tone. The middle years were a lot more cartoony and eccentric in comedy compared to the cynical and dry humour of the golden years. Not that the middle episodes were bad, as stated, the comedy was still really well executed. It was more like replacing say the humour of portal with the humour of saints row. If that makes sense

You are a f--king idiot. Yes, there were some good parts, as in the beginning his "imitations". However the screaming and the disgusting dead body are genuine lowpoints. If you like it, it doesn't make any less part of the "bad period" of the Simpsons, it could just be you're the right idiot for it... There is also something very "Murican" about liking shit like this (any crude, tacky and murder shit). However it also goes without saying that this wasn't very late yet compared to now.

Man, this is the same situation I can be in during a bad storm, usually a thunderstorm...especially if it triggers a power failure.
