Homeschooled Kids are So Sheltered / Homeschool Myths / Sheltered Homeschool Kids / Real Life Homeschool
Welcome to Everyday Blessings. If you're new here my name is Nina I am a homeschooling mom with five kids at home and six kids total. Here on my channel I talk about all things homeschool from tots to teens in real life. God didn't make me Pinterest perfect. I don't even pretend to be.
Today we are talking about the myth that homeschoolers are sheltered from the outside world.
Sheltered is not the word I would use to describe homeschooled children. Homeschooled children are anything but sheltered. Instead their innocence is protected. I am sick of seeing kids grow up too quickly. My son started out in public school and let me tell you it was terrible!! The things he saw and heard in public school were disgusting. Homeschooled children are out and about in the real world probably more than public school children. We are able to talk to our children in real time about the things they experience and see. I would argue that public school children are sheltered from the real world. How many times has a high school teacher said "That will never fly in the real world..." well duh! because indoctrination institutions are not the real world!!
Thank you Jama for this homeschool Myth. I hope I have successfully busted it for you.

Sheltered is a word that people who haven't protected their children use to justify their negligence. Shelter is a necessity for human life, young children should find shelter with their parents from the harsh realities of this world. They will face those realities soon enough. Innocence is precious and should be protected. Good video thanks again.

Thanks for sharing. I'll look into Lightgliders. I feel like I've heard of them before or seen them at a convention. Sounds like a solid, Biblical resource.
