Hey this kit worked great! Only thing is it don't desplay the gear

Inexpensive angle sensor, which is a wear item, along with cleaning and lubricating the gears inside the shift control motor housing mostly fixed my shifting problem. It has only acted up a time or two since. While there are other sensors involved, maybe one for neutral, reverse, can't remember, but a guy here on YT who used to work on these daily professionally did say the angle sensors are trouble prone. Someone else said a weak battery can also cause shifting and other issues with these bikes. Also check your connectors, clean, sometimes all they need to make good contact again is take them off & back on. Also somewhere on YT someone mentioned a ground wire, seemed to me it was up front kind of under the gas tank which gets corroded and causes electrical gremlins. Yeah, now if it came down to an ECM those are an expensive deal, so in that instance a shift bypass kit would at that point be looking pretty good.

Just made a foot shifter for mine.. completely did away with the crappy electric shift it's just a money gimmick foot shifter works fantastic

i have a 2004 Forman Rubicon 500 automatic i bought it used for 400 and it seemed week until it got to like15mph almost like 1st gear wasnt working and it was starting in 2nd now it seems like trans is locked up i replaced angle sensor and tested shift motor and that seemed good wondering if i should try something before i pull motor and trans motor starts right up but seems like trans is locked and holding motor back i even went thew valves and everything is good on the motor any ideas i herd they have same kit for the 500 so was thinking about trying that man but have to end up pulling trans if that aint the problem i wonder if i could put a manual trans on it

I used the shift kit bypass and it works, is this conformation the ECM is bad.

When you install the delete kit does it still show 2nd 3th and 4th gear on the display screen? My ecu is bad so I made a foot shifter but because that exu is gone it won’t display 2,3,4 gears but it shifts thru them fine

Did the kit but still no reverse.

I ordered one of those kits but it keeps blowing fuses at random sometimes it will do good then other times I got threw ten fuses just to get it to move no idea why can you help??

Don't buy no kits or no buy pass harnesses just make a foot shifter very simple

Anyone knows my Forman es has a problem to shift from 2nd to 3rd gear after sitting for a day or so ! I have to push sifter bottom 5 times sometimes to shift it !
