2002 Honda Accord EX w/200k miles. Drivers side CV axle. Passenger side is nearly the same, with the exception that you're going straight into transmission instead of intermediate shaft on driver's side. Don't have any videos of that side, but it's the same, don't worry. If you use an axle popper (shown in video), it will be super easy! Trust me.
After replacing clutch ( • 2002 Honda Accord clut... ) I kept hearing nasty sounds near wheel. After driving fast and hearing a 50 cal machine gun firing off (as seen in this video - it was much louder in person), I decided to change both CV axles.
Later, I had to swap out both wheel bearings. Videos forthcoming.
If you're like me, and you feel slipping while driving and suspect it's your clutch, try CV axles first if you have high mileage. If that doesn't fix it, go for wheel bearings. That's not an easy job, but it's WAAAY easier than the clutch. If that still doesn't work, go for clutch - unless you know the clutch is toast. Clutches won't last past 100k miles. If they do, you drive it like a boss with a very gentle touch, lol. Just know you'll have to remove CV axles to do clutch job, so if you don't mind killing 2 birds w/one stone, go for it.
