Just bought one today. 30/4/21 Amazing bike. Everything you say is true. I'm in the Philippines in a small village where the roads are pick your rock or bump/pothole to hit. Excellent handling. Suspension unbelievably good. I am 75 wife is 65 and we are rocking. The highway from the west coast to the east coast of our island cuts through the jungle mountains and deltas. Handling the ups and downs and the tight, tight curves this bike is brilliant. It has remarkable agility and smooth smooth ride. Great review. Thanks gentlemen. I would recommend this bike to anyone who needs this combo. Highway or rough country road. Cheers

My 2022 Honda ADV 150 is a great scooter. After about 500 miles this scooter really limbers up. I currently have about 2,600 miles averaging about 104 mpg. Up hill pulls are effortlessly done with extra pulling power making the crest. To achieve speed up to 45 mph is so easy and quick leaving the rider with still enough power to get out of the way of other traffic. Top speed observed is 67mph and I weigh 220lbs.👍

Appreciate the feedback gentleman! I have been eyeing up the PCX150 for years. Then, this came to the market. At first, I didn't understand what Honda was trying to achieve, but after seeing one in person I was very impressed. It doesn't look like a scooter, but more so an adventure bike. Hence "ADV" :) Since I have zero interest riding on highways this bike seems perfect for what my riding style would be. From my research, the ADV seems to be a little faster than the PCX150. Not huge, but maybe 5-10mph more. Again, I am not interested in speed, but it would be nice to have the little extra "oomph" when you need it to either pass or get out of trouble. As far as fit and finish, the ADV150 certainly impressed me in person. Your review was helpful, so thank you. I feel this would make the perfect fit for me. I'm still not over the PCX150 quite yet, but this one is starting to grow on me each week. Time will tell. :) Take care and be safe out there guys. BTW, I have a new ADV150 FB Group for the United States! Here's the link: facebook.com/groups/329305788241168 Please join this group if you live in the US and want to discuss this awesome machine with others! Take care. :)

Thanks for the review! Most are not in English. I have a Grom I use for my food my delivery business and I’m looking to take a step up without getting too heavy. I use a Mototote rack to carry my bike on the back of my camper minivan and my tongue weight capacity is 350. This bike would be perfect for deliveries and travel! Now I just have to find a dealer in MI to sell me one!

Or, if you must have a Honda (a very good choice) for both travel on the back of your 4-wheeler and food delivery, the recently released CT125, which will equal and beat the fuel economy of this and which will be OK after a few years of casual off-road use - moreso than this I would have thought. I have a had a 2015 PCX150 for commuting since 2016 and it is very good indeed. 50 kiloemtres per litre. / About 145 miler per UK gallon (4.5 litres). Easy to service. Very smooth through traffic. That might fit your needs, too. Personally, for a 150, no matter what name Honda gives this, it's too high a price for a 150 scooter. Just my opinion.

Currently I have about 300 miles on scooter and can’t wait to ride some more. This scooter has smoother acceleration,riding and braking than my old Yamaha. Being water cooled I’m hoping for many trouble free riding miles. Great Reveiw👍

I just bought mine in April. Im not sure how much has changed since yall made this, but yalls critique is pretty fair. There were some things that you addressed that i found to be my biggest complaints. That being the acceleration and the over all speed. Now this is my first 2 wheeler, so I dont have much to compare it too. Ive done a lot of research into how to improve the areas that just dont cut it. I installed a Malossi fly bell clutch and changed the contra spring, and I change out the variator and weights. Those im still playing with, but I think Ive got a decent set up at the moment. Im gonna install a tachometer here coming up shortly. I mean im hitting 50+ in 10-15 seconds. and it fires off the line. I cant tell you how many guys in 90,000 dollar sport cars that I beat off the line and see how fast I get ahead of them so quickly, that its inevitable that they find redemption in blowing past me doing 60 or 70 in a 30 just to justify that 90K. I would differ though on getting this bike 55-60+ on the stock wheels. The front is 14" and the rear is 13" kinda small for maintaining the 55+ speeds. 50 feels solid in a straight away even 55, but past that there is a noticable loose feeling with any line of sight change, and if youre surrounded by cars blowing past you doing 60-70, that wind can push you around a little because of the sub 300 wght.

I put a Yoshimura exhaust on it last year, I got tired of deer just walking right out into the road as I approached, pretty much invisible. Now with the Yoshimura I can see them darting away from road into the woods. It is loud, I had to order the silencer to tone it down, very loud but not as obnoxious with the silencer.

I took a quick test ride on the ADV150 yesterday. It was fun, comfortable, and rode very nice. It's 300 lbs of scooter, so it feels more substantial on the road than my Monkey. Everytime I ride a scooter, I am reminded how weird they feel not having anything to grip with my knees. While comfortable, the bars felt a little close. Would be nice if the cables and brake lines had enough slack to install some risers that pushed the bars forward some. I don't think it'll be something you stand up on like a dual sport or ADV bike. Plenty of leg room for my 34 inch inseam. Neat scooter, but I don't think I'd pick it over my Monkey.

Ok lets talk how people will customize this bike. You guys compared it to the grom and z alot. but I think it compares more to a Ruckus. The Gy6 swapped ruckus more precisely. Questions I have.... 1. what does it look like naked? 2. Is there a mount point for pegs? 3. Can you change out the rollers/sliders in the CVT to help with the acceleration? 4. How does the seat mount?/Can a solo seat be mounted?
@mnnthbx
@mnnthbx 4 жыл бұрын
It's nothing like a Ruckus. Far larger, far faster, easy to ride 200 miles at a time, piles of storage, way more comfortable, holds two full size adults easily. No doubt you could customize it into something cool and unique, but that's for the random fabricators. It's not a platform that the aftermarket will embrace in terms of pure cosmetic style and modification. It's far more of a functional workhorse.

3. Of course, its rollers are far too heavy for daily commute. They did that for off-road torque.

If it is under 5 or 600 miles give it a little time before you decide, because after likev600 miles it acceleration is much much better and even more top end speed to

I am still mad at Honda for not even considering bringing the ADV-750 the states. More money, but the horsepower and transmission I was hoping to get. The least they could have done was 300cc.

@@mnnthbx Do you think we'll ever see it in the U.S.? And, also they make it almost impossible to import one from another country. I could buy one in the U.K. and ship it over. What happens when someone who owns one relocates from the U.K. to the U.S. and wants to bring their bike. Can they register it here?

as stated,fit,finish,suspension,are top notch on this unit..whole other level or 2 or 3 above chinese 150s,which have virtually non existent forks and shocks..looks and design are home run caliber also,nice tight ride with no rattles whatsoever in motion.to me all this makes it close to being totally worth the $4299 msrp,just get on it and go..my only desire is for a little more power,kinda bland in that area.all in all a very nice scooter for around town and trails,also real handle bars instead of plastic bars on chinese scooters,a huge plus+++++++

$4299.00 turns into over 5k really quick with tax and fees. If you finance it will obviously be more expensive. Nice bike though. What sold me was the versatility. Moderate off road. The exhaust is pointing upward for that purpose and beefed up suspension. Lots of fun.

For Much better acceleration, Most all auto clutch Scooters, have a significant amount of Slip built into the system, they slip a Lot right from a dead stop and up to say 3500rpm, to get rid of a Lot of the waisted energy, and to have more of a direct lockup at a much lower rpm of the clutch, Buy swapping these clutch weights out you get a few benefits, Like Noticeably faster acceleration from a stop, Plus you get a Higher top speed, because these sliders put the final gear ratio higher, this when cruising, also reduces Rpm while cruising, to get better fuel economy, get some lighter weight DR. Pulley Slider weights for the the auto clutch to improve the bike's overall performance.
