I love my blade for all of the reasons mentioned in the review. You pull that throttle in in first hard and you should back flip it if you are stupid enough to do so. Have to respect your bike. Not like a bike equipped with "wheelie control." And seriously, wheelie control? Wheelie's is why I own a blade! Thanks for the review bikeme.

Have you ever lifted the front wheel? I redline it in first gear and it’s slow. There’s barely any top end and none at low.

Waaaaiiiit a sec there mate! Don't get me wrong but isn't that 'blade starting to look like a "smashed crab" as you so eloquently referred to the 6th gen VFR800 as?Personally, smashed crabs are beauty's in my book! (I have a red one!) Awesome review, awesome bike. Good on ya for this.

Completely agree but with the hp you mentioned is wrong my friend. Stock they are 178hp at the crank so I'd say at the wheel at least 160hp. I've got a 2010 repsol edition completely stock apart from power commander which is mainly for fueling purposes if anything gives 2-3 hp. My bike was dynoed in March and it ran 164 at the wheel

Bradders 2016 different dynos read different numbers add to the weather and altitude that throws off that number even more

you want tech specs, go read the Honda pamphlets and website. you want a tech review, go watch Kawasaki commercials. when you grow up and are ready for pure, raw, no auto-piloting or nannysitting aids, come back and rewatch this segment. the reviewer is simply and bluntly putting all his experiences on this bike. no frills and no bullshit the way real motorcycling is and should be.
