In todays video we take a weekend trip out to DesMoines Iowa to visit the largest outdoor skatepark in the U.S. We camped near by at the Robert Creek West Campground and checked out the Cordova observation tower & local lake.

I’ve wanted a tiny house. I wanted a trailer. I wanted an rv. I wanted a camper. And this year I’ve been thinking why can’t I do that with my 2018 Honda fit!? I came across your videos tonight and THANK GOD! I live in Illinois and I’m at least hoping I can make it into something I can camp in. You have honestly given me hope bc I really love my car! Thank you so much

I'm right there with you! I fell in love with tiny houses and then I discovered van life. I do plan on getting a van, but I'm not going to let not having one hold me back. I can't imagine what I could do with all that extra room!

the unmanned station are called "Iron rangers" they are very common in remote parks

That is true. It seemed like a very busy place to be unattended, but I did go Mid Summer. There was a Roberts Creek East & Roberts Creek West Campground and I lost my reservation email. All I had was a campsite number to go by and I was worried about setting up in the wrong campground. Thankfully, the Park Staff already had my reservation printed out and clipped to the campsite post.

love the window rain guards, any link to buy em'?

They're www.weathertech.com rain guards. They slide up and clip into the window channels as opposed to the ones that are just peel and stick. I kind of like the look of some of the stick on ones better, but that's just me. The rain guards are the only thing I don't have an install video for :(

Hi, sorry if this has been asked a bunch, but I was wondering what front grill that is? Seems like all the grills i find for 2015-2017 bumpers are for JDM cars only.

It's a generic Carbon Fiber grille. Some would call it a MUGEN rep, but it looks nothing like the MUGEN grille and they never claimed it as a MUGEN Grille. The JDM "bumpers" will not work on the U.S. model cars unless you remove the U.S. factory crash bar. The "Grille" itself should work on US or JDM models. The carbon fiber grille is just missing the tabs on the bottom to connect it to the front bumper. You can see I remedied this by applying a strip of 3m double sided tape to the bottom portion of the grille. This just means that my grille and front bumper are now one piece. At least it's not in Ohio... Finding the parking lot took us 30 mins. Google kept taking us to nearby paid parking. All of the roads above the skate park just went around it. We had to drive several blocks away from the skatepark to get to the lower street levels and even then the roads did not all connect directly. When we finally reached the parking lot it was full of "NO PARKING" signs. Everyone else was parked down there so we did to. The skatepark has to be less than a year old and they haven't updated google maps or the parking situation yet. This park is awesome but also Questionably the largest outdoor skate park. There is a lot of obstacles to skate but there's also a lot of open flat ground running along the side of it. If you didn't count all of the flat ground area It probably wouldn't be considered the largest. Still a great park though!

If I haven't asked you already, how many miles are on your 2015? If it's your first time replacing them I think they lasted quite awhile. I've been wanting to film how to replace your rear shocks. The rear's are pretty easy but there's a few more parts in the front that I don't feel comfortable with. I replaced my rear shocks at 70k miles and my front shocks at 100k.

I just hit 86,000 miles and so.e change. I was quoted 456 and an extra 100 for wheel alignment at mavis. I want to see what Honda will charge..lol either way it's pretty steep for me right now. What are your thoughts on this?

@@margekalogridis3929 According to receipt... I replaced the rear shocks at 84,597 miles. Labor $213.06 Parts $207.97 Total after Taxes $454.06 This also came with a Nationwide 36 month 36k mile warranty.

How are you getting on with your tyres? Did you finish with 205/55/156's in the end?

I still have my 205/55/16s :) I would rub the fender liner every once in great while if the car was fully loaded. I haven't had any issues with rubbing since I removed the 200+lbs roof rack setup. The timelapse footage of me removing my RoofRack/Cargo basket actually showed my car lifting up some so I should have even more clearance then what I documented in the 205/55/16 video. Yeah... It was a bittersweet moment. I got my first ticket in 15 years. I was keeping up with traffic but was issued a speeding citation. I'm assuming I was singled out because my car sticks out like a sore thumb. The roofrack setup is gone, but I did manage to keep all it's features, making the car stealthier and more fuel efficient. Yes. Once for sure at 80k miles and I think it was done again recently when I had some work done. I think I'm going to make a video going over all the maintenance from 0-102k miles of owner ship.

LMAO, I was just telling the wife someone was going to leave a comment about that. I grew up skating by myself mostly, so no-one ever corrected me. I can pump normal while riding switch though :)
