Yes, I agree. Luckily, I have never dropped a bike and I don't go off road so I decided on the givi because I like the look. They were easy to install and give great coverage around the hand for wind but yes, I agree that they will not be durable if you fall. Thank you for watching!

How do you find using them? Do you have to bend your foot in more to use the brake? Ia it awkward

@@davidabkk No, it isn't awkward but it just depends on how you set them up. There are multiple angles to tweak the right setup. I don't use my rear brake often but I don't find using it more awkward than normal. But what I will say is that because I put them in a low position, I have to bring my heel up if I'm doing any low speed, tight cornering otherwise my boot can touch the ground but this is rare and I've completely adjusted to that now.

@@davidabkk Yea, there's no harm in testing them out. I do find that they make the riding position more comfortable for me. And the pegs are wider which gives me more stability and comfort with my boots on them especially when I stand to look over traffic. I don't use my rear brake often because it is not as effective as the front brake in terms of stopping power. But also I spent two decades commuting on a fixed gear bicycle with only one front brake so I am very experienced with modulating pressure and assessing stopping distances using that alone. If I really need to stop suddenly and I'm at speed then I'll use both brakes and occasionally I will use just the rear brake for slow, gradual braking. But really most stopping power is in the front brake (like 73%).

Hey. Nice work on placing the tbox. I reckon there's quite a few spots that can work since we're spoiled for choice with the frunk. If there is a difference in mpg with the mad screen then I haven't noticed it. Like you, I enjoyed the clean air with the stock screen and I was nervous to invest so much $ in the mad screen but now I'm glad I did. I had to angle the screen just right to avoid buffeting on my helmet but overall it makes the ride quieter and calmer, for sure. Also now that my weather is getting colder, even at 30mph I enjoy not having cold air on my chest.

@@TheDreamcycles the nav mount bar is a nice addon with the mad too -- looks sturdier than the budget one I bought, and neater part of the install. I need to get phone/nav up higher because I can't read nav so well if it's low and close. I have similar pegs to what you installed, didn't do them yet because somehow being folded up on the bike a lot with my long legs hasn't bothered me much. Did you need to lower your brake pedal? Also have some 30mm rise 15mm offset risers I haven't put on yet. Had limited time with the bike (it's at the cabin) so I decided to mostly ride. Only installed the t-box, USB, and centerstand. My t-box wire nuts are like yours velcroed onto the bike under a cowl, but I used the high-strength fuzzy -- need to use the sturdier kind you used. They haven't popped loose yet, but I'm sure they will with just the fuzz. I got some oxford grips to install one of these days. I designed a 3-d printable controller holder that I hope will work on the left handlebar next to the parking brake -- without interfering too much with that.

@@SethJayson Yes, I didn't even know the satnav bar came with it so it was a great surprise. With your phone up high, really makes navigation on the ohone easy although I currently have my phone on my handlebar because it's easier for me to change music since my Sena mic doesn't seem to respond to my voice commands. But for longer trips I attach it back to the satnav bar for easy viewing. I did have to lower the brake pedal to its lowest position because I got the 40mm lowered pegs but it only took a few minutes. I don't use the back brake that often either. I didn't mind the original foot pegs that much either but overtime I have noticed an increase in comfort with the lowered ones. I also angled them to a more ergonomic position. And i just slightly tuck my feet up if I'm doing a tight, low speed corner so that i don't scrape my boots. With regards to the bar risers, try rotating your bars forward a bit. This should raise and extend the reach. In hindsight I should have tried that before going to the trouble of installing the 2" risers. I like mine but it really was a PITA to do. And even though there are benefits, I realize that the original bar height gave me a great, sporty feel. I'll do one more video soon with ALL my mods including my new seat. I'm 6'2" and ordered all these things to make the bike feel roomier when I first bought it but to be honest even stock, it really fits tall guys like us pretty well!

@@SethJayson PS... I like the oxford grips and have had them on a few previous bikes. I decided to try out Gerbing heated gloves this year and I find them to be warmer but I can't knock the oxfords. Nice work on the 3D printed holder!

It's the tallest one they do which is 24" and it's perfect for my height of 6'2". No wind on my chest or helmet (as long as I put it at the right angle). I hope that helps. You can see it a bit more properly on my other videos.

It looks a lot less gigantic than I had been expecting. Are you running it with the screen at its highest setting? @@TheDreamcycles

@@zvids627 I agree. I was really nervous at first but they've done a great job with the newer designs to make it less barn door looking. It actually looks sleek and appropriate for the bike. Yes, I have it on maximum height and maximum tilt (towards me). It also comes with a satnav grip bar that you can attach your phone or satnav to.
