Honestly, I think the age has a lot to do with it. A thirty-two-year-old capering around and acting like an idiot is pretty funny. A man in his early 50s doing the same thing just feels like your dad going off his meds.

I agree. Not only was it painful, it was judgmental and I'll tell you why. First off, I was terribly livid when they berated Jeff Daniels' elderly appearance. When they said that this film aged about as well as his face, I was thinking, "Shut up! I'd love to see how YOUR face turns out after 20 years!" Furthermore, the older, more handsome, and cuter version of Harry is what attracted me to this film! And second, they poked fun of Jim Carrey's descending acting career. I mean, who do they think they are, any-dang-way?

my brother dragged me to see this because he thought it was hilarious. there were about 6 other people in the theatre and by the end, we were the only two people who hadn't walked out. and i only hadn't because of him.

Jim Carrey was unbelievable on "the eternal sunshine of the spotless mind", "man on the moon", "the truman show" and even in the "majestic". As for comedies, for me he will always be Ace Ventura. he is by far my favorite actor, but i wish to see him again in serious, meaningful movies :)

Yes, I agree. He has such a great potential as an actor but he sticks to movies like this. Eternal sunshine was as you said such an amazing movie. He should do more serious movies...

Wow... this movie is so unfunny and revolting... it even made the honest trailer unfunny. I mean it's not a bad honest trailer, it seems on spot as usual, but I guess that's why it made me cringe more than laugh (or even smile). It just explained everything that made this movie shit in detail. Fuckin a.

I don't think either Dumberer or To hold a candle to the original, but I can at least appreciate that in this one Daniels and Carrey are clearly having fun with what they have to work with, and that kind of chemistry does make you smile. It did for me at least! I can't say this movie is good, but I can say I enjoyed it, and it did make me laugh a few times. Particularly the bit where the minute they get the car, they use it solely for the film cover and then it immediately breaks down. That cracked me up. Rob Riggle was also a pretty funny villain in this one, or villains. I won't even talk about Dumberer, lol

There was a lot of funny to the movie though. Also a lot of stuff that could have hit the cutting room floor too. The Shaggin' Wagon being reduced to a cameo was a punch in the heart. The Original will always carry with it a level of genius in it's dumbness and knowing FULL WELL that To could never live up to what came before I enjoyed this little reunion with Harry Dunn and Lloyd Christmas.

A great way to describe this movie at the start. Everybody wanted a sequel, we got a shitty sorta sequel, and then years later when we were over it, they made one anyway. The original is still funny, yet them redoing jokes isn't funny.

i actually really liked this one, it absolutely took itself as serious as a dumb and dumber 2 should be. i laughed so hard when they got the dog mobile back, to immediately break it and replace it with a zamboni....maybe i'm just too canadian not to love a zamboni gag

dunno, most of the series they do are dramas that are effectively movies that are really long and broken into parts. Attack on Titan is the only one there that would really work with the format, but I would love to see a RWBY trailer. The animation in season one is super scatter-shot and overall jank.

Are you seriously judging the movie just by watching this Honest Trailer? There's nothing wrong with the movie. It was decent. The humour is the same kind of funny like the 1st and 2nd movies, in fact, better I'd say. Saying "If you liked the first movie, this one will totally bum you out" is illogical. The weird thing about "Dumb and Dumber To" was that it showed that Harry's father was alive seen at 0:59 (I can't remember if that guy at 0:59 was Harry's father or not but, Harry's father was alive on "Dumb And Dumber To") but, on "Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd", it was mentioned by Harry's mom that Harry's father passed away when Harry was just a baby especially since "Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd" was a prequel to "Dumb and Dumber."
