One thing that I really like about this movie is the actual, physical sets with some parts CGI. You really feel like your in Whoville and not some CGI, green screen set. The attention to detail is remarkable. I don't think any movie has come close to this since.

I didn't know until recently that this movie gets a lot of negativity, and honesty I don't understand why. I find it entertaining, funny and think the dialogue is genius in places. I'm not saying it's an Oscar worthy masterpiece, but it's a decent bit of fun Christmas viewing.

Ironically this movie did actually win awards in make up and did decent domestically. Them royality checks for showing this every Xmas made this a cult classic for some for Xmas

My brother and I watched this movie opening weekend. We started laughing at the key party and apparently that was lost on everyone else. Including the part where his mother/aunt don't know who his father is because they were swingers.

Even if Dr. Suess probably wouldn't approve of The Grinch having a Tragic Backstory, or how muted The Colors are, this film will always hold a special place in my heart. 💓

My wife and I literally watched this movie last night. Our tradition after watching a movie is to watch The Honest Trailers and Everything Wrong With. We were surprised that there wasn't an honest trailer for this until now! I freaking love watching these!

imho, one of the understated good moments of the film is when Cindy is asking her dad about the Grinch. "Well, he's not really a Who, he's...more of a..." "A what?" "Exactly, honey! He's a What who doesn't like Christmas." I accept this without question, the Grinch is a What.

I definitely like this movie because of nostalgia and the memories I have associated with it. From Cindy-Lou questioning the meaning of Christmas to the Grinch stealing a yodeler's outfit, it's saccharine but so funny! "Ooo...ah...mmm...that's it I'm not going!"

My family and I used to joke that my brother-in-law wasn’t allowed to marry my sister unless he came around to liking this movie (he totally was, but we were definitely establishing that this was a Christmas tradition). He ended up liking it of his own volition a few years later

@@MaiAolei Mid 00’s Flash Animation toons on the internet. The character, Salad Fingers, had long green fingers. Creepy on purpose, but like, not creepy scary, just, weird creepy. Just one of the many extremely popular Flash toons from back in the day. Worth a google and rabbit hole search.

I've mostly ever seen good things said about the movie. Yeah there are nitpicks but most people seem to openly love this movie in spite of it's flaws. I'm genuinely not sure where the belief that the majority of people dislike it comes from.

Creator Backlash: Jim Carrey was not happy about the studio interference forcing raunchier jokes into the film, especially since he'd gone out of his way to ensure that all of his ad libs would be family-friendly, and admitted that he should have fought harder to prevent it.

I really enjoy this movie, not gonna lie. The recent Illumination animated one was fine, but surely the Who's are supposed to be fearful of The Grinch, whereas in that one he just strolls-around Whoville, does his grocery-shopping and they barely bat an eyelid. So... which one is more-faithful to the book?

I can’t tell whether this honest trailer likes or hates Jim Carrey’s grinch but I will say this: like if you agree that this movie is one of the funniest, weirdest, most unique, yet shockingly heartwarming Christmas movies of all time. Aka, a Christmas classic

Honestly, this movie looked so creepy that this is the most I've allowed myself to watch. And now, a Seussian request: The people are eager, all eager and waiting for the Honest Trailer they're anticipating. A whale of a tale needs a trailer so silly, Less filler, more Killer, move on to Free Willy!

1:57 A smoking habit and a flammable, full-facial fur-suit are a bad combination. I've read they solved this by setting Jim up with one of those "very elegant," long-handled cigarette holders. Hard to find a shot of Grinch smoking with it, though.

Hey screen junkies. I love the honest trailers and its very clear you put a lot of effort into them because of how good they are. I would like to recommend that you do Castaway with Tom Hanks (made in 2000 i think). It would be an awesome. Thank you and can't wait for the next video.
