The stuff you like at ten is definitely not the stuff you'll like when you're older. For example, when i was ten(a long time ago:P) I loved this tv show called The Master. I thought it was SO cool! Then, several decades later, I saw it being mocked on Mystery Science Theater 3000 as a 'movie' called Master Ninja, which was really only two of the tv episodes slammed together to make a crappy tv movie. Boy, was it bad! I mean, really, REALLY bad! Made me kind of embarrassed that I liked this garbage when I was a kid. But kids don't really have much taste. Hell, they like Kool-aid, and that stuff's horrible liquid sugar! Transformers is the same thing. You like it when you're a kid because you have no taste and don't know any better, and when you grow up and become more discerning you're kind of embarrassed that you ever liked it at all.

+Benny Tabaja What makes it even funnier is that its very true. When I saw the movie the first time in cinema with some friend, we were joking about the ridiculous pacing and the camera angles of the fighting scenes because you could not tell what the hell was going on. Im pretty sure they slowed these scenes down in later versions, so everyone who didnt see the movie back then cant experience this hilarity anymore.

I love how he makes fun of how Michael Bay's movies have so much product placement that isn't even hidden which ruins the movie. The fourth Transformers was the worst of this. An entire city block destroyed and a conveniently placed huge Victoria's Secret ad untouched right in the middle of everything. Pathetic.

I can agree with that. I knew that Michael Bay wasn't going to do a remake that gave me a good plot (I basically realized I was going to watch robot-themed action-porn right from the get go and that I'd basically ignore the plot), but I was hoping it would at least have good action... and to an extent it did; the action sequences are, in fact, pretty cool. I even found I kind of liked the redesigns. I actually thought that they seemed pretty cool (sorry G1 fans, I never really dug blocky 80's robots that much. At least these ones seem... I dunno, slightly plausible and have a consistent sense of scale). And unlike most other films, Micheal was willing to let the robots do what they would do, which is level anywhere they were fighting. SADLY, Michael Bay seemed to forget how to hold a fucking camera. I get that he was trying to do the whole "Shakey-Cam indicates action and physical impact" thing that had worked so well on other films, like Cloverfield. But that was TRANSFORMERS damn it! It worked on Cloverfield because half the movie was SUSPENSE caused by not actually knowing what the Godzilla-esque monster looked like. An ACTION film which is dependent on SEEING HOW COOL THE FIGHTS ARE does NOT benefit from crap camera angles and shitty shakey cam. At least he got progressively better at angling his shots over the course of the franchise. If you want some quality robot ass-kicking, watch "Dark of the Moon". At least that one had awesome fights AND good camera angles. Plus hermit Megatron with a shotgun, which looks as amazing as it sounds.

Despite the fact that I love transformers, and am tired of everyone bagging on the movies, I still found this funny. Especially because these guys understand that the movies are completely accurate to the storyline of the source material.

Makes me wonder what Transformers you are talking about because I dont recall many major human characters in G1 outside of Spike, Spikes Dad and later Spikes Wife and Spikes Son. Also I dont remember episodes dedicated to Spike's relationship while dating his wife either. Nor pointless shots of human military personnel fighting decepticons. Nor any comments about decepticon scrotums... or there being a Mountain Dew Vending machine transformer... or... yeah I could go on and on. The old show had plot holes and was horribly animated at times but still the vast majority of the time we had autobots fighting decepticons with minimal human contact aside from the generic "human workers" running in fear from Decepticons while they stole shit to make energon.

Shiirow finally someone took the bait. Lol. I'm talking about the real transformers storyline. The one that doesn't exist. The storyline that says all of these things are just based on toys. That's right. Michael Bay never claimed to be making the movies based on the cartoon or the comics, but rather he claimed the movies were "based on the Hasbro TOY Line." which means he can do whatever he damn well pleases with the story. And make people like me happy for a great summer action blockbuster.

NovusIgnis Based solely on the toy line, huh? Don't recall there being any toys of Sam Witwicky, Mikaela, Lennox, Epps, or Agent Simmons from the OG Hasbro line. If anything, the cartoons kept true to focusing on the toys(and each line to be released by introducing them in the cartoons). Humans were secondary and of minor importance(in the figure line, they weren't even important at all). To focus on humans is kinda defeating the purpose of an action figure line JUST about transforming robots. And don't go into that, "the audience can only relate to human characters" spiel. If a character is written with the amount of depth it takes to connect with others on a personal level, they don't have to be human(and anybody who still can't empathize don't deserve good things of life).

Frank Bautista that's true enough sure. But consider making a movie in which 75 percent of it was just the transformers? The costs would be through the roof. It would be the most expensive movie in history from all the special effects. And Michael Bay spares no expense on special effects. Those movies are already expensive enough as it is.

Aggelos tou ouranou Shitty dialogue, the focus on dumb humans, lazy humor, Sha LaButtfuck, Megan Fox, Not enough transformers, Product placement galore, the length of the movie, awkward camera shots, a lot of plot holes, no character development of the transformers, and the biggest sin is that they named a character Devastator who is actually Brawl. And don't tell me that it's just a Bay film. If you give effort only to just effects and bewbs, then the movie feels empty.

This movie would've been so much better had it actually been centered around the transformers and not some shitty teenage love interest that is mandatory and must be shoe horned into source material now days. Yes the original G1's had humans and it even had the autobots bringing a family together but ya know what. It wasn't 2/3rds of the content.

The video: honest trailers 0:04 space debris/meteors/space dust does not ionise air molecules at that altitude. In that shot, it shows the the meteor/cube at something like 200-250km above the surface.
