I think Michael Bay is a genius. He has remade the same film 4 times and made a massive profit each time. If anything each sequel makes more money. He has openly said he makes films for 12 year old boys. It just goes to show you can achieve anything in life, even if you are aren't that talented.

SoratheHedgehog100 Directors are in charge of every facet of the movie... That's why they are called FILM MAKERS. From script writers, actors to CG the director is responsible to use these as he/ she sees fit to make a production. Studios won't give this freedom to an unproven director so they might have to work out his/ her roles etc. Bay is a director who has generated so much money that the studio trust him to do what he wants. He is well known for being a very aggressive/ hands on director.

And what else can you call him but a "genius" seeing that despite everyone claiming that his movies are all terrible he still makes more bank than most other directors with each new film. Micheal Bay is a genius because he found a way to exploit the audience. It's the people who are stupid because they keep watching his movies

2:47 A better question is why Decepticons were able to function at the bottom of the Mariana Trench and revive a dead Decepticon even though they took the time to explain in the first movie that no Transformer would function there because of the sub zero temperatures. Also, he was at the bottom of the Mariana Trench, but in the second film it looks like they aren't too far from the surface, it should've been pitch black and quite cramped.

The female decepticon with the diesel flavored tounge was a Pretender, or at least Michael Bay's version of them. They were huge in the G1 comics but consisted of robots hidden inside organic shells. Although the human shells were worn by the Autobots while the Decepticons used monster shells. Also they were huge and to scale with the other transformers. In Bayformers we have transformers of all sizes. Ah screw it, I am way too knowlegeable about transformers history.

The same lazy, easily refutable points as every other critic has made. 1. The Transformers are coloured. I find it so difficult to take anyone seriously when they say how much of an idiot people who liked this movie are when they all also make the point that they can't tell the Transformers and Decepticons apart during the battles. It's not hard. 2. "Why does the US military... anti-decepticon gun..." Did you see the size of that thing? Do you really think it had power to fire more than 1 shot? 3. "Why does the shard kill and resurrect Megatron?" The same way an electric shock can do both to a human. 4. "When Sam dies, why does he go to Transformer heaven?" 3 words: Near Death Experience. No-one said anything about a heaven. 5. "Since when can decepticons turn into human beings?" Why not? An original idea actually appears in the story and you find some way to criticise it? 6. "Why can't they all do it?" Specialization. 7. "We've already put more thought into this than the people who made this movie did." You've put no thought in at all. You've just parroted the same shit everyone else has.

+Turey Taino He's actually mentioned this in an interview once blaming the writer's strike. (In which Iron man proves, if there's talent & a sensible plot you don't even need every word written out so that 'unfinished script' is a cop out - not that iron man was a perfect way to write a script, just saying it's possible) BUT, he still claims Armageddon is his worst movie he's made. Personally, I think Armageddon is a much MUCH "better" than this TF:ROTF

I think the visual director missed a huge reason why people like the cartoons, comics and action figures. Those Transformers had bright contrasting colors, simple linework on big areas of space, and extremely recognizable shapes and inspirations. These shitflix all had boring, dull, metal-eroticism greys and flashy earth tones under a shitton of lens flare and muting. Not to mention the horrid camera angles. Look, those designs are really cooly complex, but on screen are confusing and suck.

That clip only proves even Micheal "Boom Boom" Bay doesn't know what he's trying to do. He had to fake cry to get out of the awkward question. "Daaah I just wanna make thing go boom...Why no one like my mewvies?"

Well, actually he kinda knows how to make good shots, but the movie comes out garbage for different reasons. Watch the video by Every Frame A painting that analyses Michael Bay's directing and editing. Actually that's why some people say they liked this movie, and some others say they hate these movies, yet they pay to see the next one.

I quit his movies. Same way I quit Shyamalan. A "beautiful scene" does not make a movie. You need a story, characters with more depth than a piece of paper... People do notice these things. If all you want is booms and bewbs..Micheal Bay is your guy. If you want character depth and story..look elsewhere.

***** lol i know you're joking. but i don't think theyre that bad. honestly if you look at a hollywood blockbuster like this and expect to be blown away by the story then you're not looking in the right places. i just think these are fun movies because they're cool. nothing like watching 100 tons of metal get into a fist fight with explosions and flames everywhere.

This is the only Transformer movie I attempted to watch but I could not enjoy it because I had no idea what the hell is happening. Especially the fight scenes. Fight scenes are not enjoyable if you don't know who is fighting who.

Am I the only one who could follow all the fighting scenes in these movies? Everyone tells me that they couldn't tell who was fighting who, and I would always look at them with a raised eyebrow and wonder how close they were to the screen when they watched it. LOL

***** I went to a drive through and usually the first movie usually ends about 10:30 which gives us time to get an ice cream and watch the 2nd movie. Well, needless to say Age of Extinction was one of those that broke that rule lol. I didn't see the other Transformer movies and I kind of wanted to see Age of Extinction because Mark Wahlberg was in it....big mistake

Okay, I think I know why Michael Bay walked out in the middle of that panel: On the day of the convention, he found himself with an awful case of diarrhea. He took some Pepto Bismol, and things started to calm down. He thought everything was fine, and wen't to the panel. Then, right in the middle of that question, he realized it wouldn't be fine. He suddenly had to clinch with all his might to keep from soiling himself right in front of everyone. He took one moment to consider whether it would be more embarrassing to walk out mid-question, or to form a giant brown stain on his pants. Then he went with option one. Michael Bay's biggest mistake? Not going on twitter and sharing that story with the world!

They really are. The earth is getting invaded by some kind of evil transformers. The transformers and a hot model must save the earth even though the government baddies don't want them to, using *insert plot device here*. The transformers win, there were many explosions, and main characters gets hot model girl, the end.

TheStarBlazer Lucky you : p. All the same I'd severely regret spending FOOTSTEPS walking into a FREE viewing of another Transformers movie. $3 be damned, it doesn't buy me back my wasted time or un-dissapoint me. The "special" movie theater bottled water is a worthier investment.
