As a general rule, I don't get offended at things like that until I hear what an actual person of the supposedly offended group has to say about it. I don't know what its like to be Japanese and so I won't speak for them. Since most Japanese people said they didnt think the song was offensive, I dont think it is either. If they said otherwise then I would have a problem with it.

well, fake woke americans love getting offended on behalf of other cultures like there's no tomorrow. think of the recent lady gaga music video controversy where woke twitter tried to accuse her of CA, but the armenians were very pleased by her representing their culture. plus, tbh, i think woke twitter mixes cultural appropriation, cultural appreciation and cultural exploitation quite a lot, so there's that

Avril Lavigne changed my life. She was a key element in my adolescence that led me to become the artist I am today. I felt misunderstood, lost, and alone, and her music comforted me. I felt like she understood. Through the years with her style changes, I still came to love every version of her. It made me so sad when she got sick and couldn't make music or perform, but I just saw her last year in New York City and she performed amazingly. I cried during half of the songs and I had no shame lol thank you for making this video, I've been waiting for it for a while. My favorite album has to be Goodbye Lullaby. Derek did a great job helping her produce it. Every single song is so good and overall the album is very cohesive. It made me sad that it wasn't extremely successful because I think it's her best album next to Let Go.

Avril Lavigne will always be one of my favorite artists. I grew up with her, and she inspired me with so much. Her battle with Lyme disease only made me relate to her and respect her so much more (since I’m physically disabled and have chronic health problems and understood what she described about her medical experience). She’s just all around amazing.

I’ve always felt Avril Lavigne and P!nk have always been really comparable. Both amazing artists and songwriters who came out around the same time with don’t give a shit attitudes and images. Both of their music’s were also on/off commercial and were both labelled “Anti-Britney” at the same time.

She has a strong and powerful voice and her lyrics are so deep sometimes ☺️☺️ I loved all the songs of her new album ☺️😍♥️ circle game ♥️ I had no idea Avril has been sick for 2 years. 🥲 I saw now she’s back with a new album, which makes me really happy 😊 hope new generation could heard about her in radio. ☺️

Vae Victis Lol, I’m not new to rock, in fact I wouldn’t call the album itself “Rock”, it’s more Pop-punk. However, I do appreciate the production, I think he did it well since that’s not really his usual range. The album do delivers those pop punk vibes, and I love that genre so I’m all here for it. Anyway, it’s music, it’s pretty much subjective, so I respect your opinion.
